A great lamp with EXCELLENT customer support
I will, below, echo all of the points made by others, regarding how remarkably good this lamp is. First, though, I wish to make a point not raised in the reviews that I've read: THE SELLER, E&A, TAKES VERY GOOD CARE OF ITS CUSTOMERS. If something goes wrong...as it did, in my case...you have the reassurance of knowing that the seller will help. [Anyhow, they surely helped me.] My lamp arrived defective. It showed one color only, blue. No transition, no other colors. I did not contact the seller. I went to Amazon to try to exchange the lamp for a new one. That didn't work, however, because the Amazon robot required a credit card for exchanges, and my credit card wasn't good enough for the robot. So, I did a return, and got a refund. The seller's representative, on her own initiative, contacted me a few days later, to ask how things were going. I told her that the lamp was defective, and that I was disappointed. SHE WAS AWARE THAT I HAD ALREADY RECEIVED A REFUND, BUT NONETHELESS OFFERED TO SEND ME A NEW LAMP. I gladly accepted, and she went immediately into action. Four days later, I had the lamp. The lamp...the second one, the one that works properly...is excellent. Beautiful range of colors. Solid construction. Packed securely, in a tube of bubble wrap. Gorgeous and mesmerizing. The only defect, from my point of view, is one that others have mentioned: It runs on batteries, three AAA's, and cannot be plugged in. I was aware of that when I bought it, but I mention it here as a suggestion to the seller: I would gladly pay a few dollars extra to have a plug-in cord. Perhaps others feel as I do. Overall, this is a beautiful lamp, all that one could ask for [excepting the battery bit], and is quite a bargain for the price...and is sold by a company that treats its customers [or, anyhow, THIS customer] very well. Five-stars.

Lovely Accent Light
I love this little light. It gives off more light than I had expected because of the crystals in the base where the light also shines through. The colours continually cycle through a rainbow of colours. It's perfect to have on whole listening to some relaxing music in the evening. If you have a kid I think this would be a great light for a bed table. I had a wand with a Fibre optic top like this lamp when I was a kid loved watching it. It seems pretty well made and the batteries put in were just cheap dollar store ones and they've been going for hours. I would definitely buy again.

The lamp is independent of batteries on the Independence Day
I love this lamp. It is too pretty to not give it attention. My only complaint is its short battery life. I tested by putting three fully charged AAA batteries in and they lasted about 24 hours. That means if you want to keep the light on you'll have to replace batteries every day! That's financially as well as laboriously crazy. And the only way to make it last longer is to shut off by pressing the button at the bottom. Very inconvenient. Like many buyers, I also wish it can be plugged in an outlet so that I don't need to constantly replace batteries. Well, the good news is I've made my wish come true, with a little creative work. Anyone can do it within 30 minutes, without spending a penny. Here is how I did it. First, you need to find an AC power adaptor with a voltage of 4.5 V because three AAA batteries provide a total of 4.5V when fully charged. My closest match is a 5.5V Panasonic handheld phone charger which I found from a junk pile of old goodies. Cut the plug at one end, split the two wires for about two inches. Expose the copper wires inside by removing half an inch of the wrappings on both ends. Unscrew the three screws at the bottom to let go the battery unit. It's a separate structure without any strings attached to the light body. Turn it over and locate the two black wires ending at two diagonal corners. All you need to do is to insert the wires through the hole at the battery compartment button and secure the copper wires on each of the leads. Make a good contact so that you don't need to solder them. Put the cover back on and secure the screws. Now plug the other end of the adaptor in an electric outlet. Voila! You now have a working lamp free of batteries for good! Please note by doing so you may violate the manufacturer's warranty or return policy. You also may risk shorting the lamp circuitry or even personal safety. So make your own decision and take your own chance. I'm not responsible for any consequences that may arise by following my review. Let this specially customized lamp be a beautiful gift for the July 4th!
