I bought this to make a night light for a guest room. We live in the country and red light is better because bugs don't see it, therefore no cobwebs build up around a red night light. I bought a beautiful amber blown glass vase to put these lights into. The red, blue, purple, and green color settings all shine brilliantly through; you’d never know the vase is amber colored. I couldn’t be happier with the effect. The remote is needed to allow a sleeper to turn it off from bed, because it is wa-a-ay brighter than the average night light. The remote does have to be in line-of-sight with the USB in order to operate. You can have a program of color-changing effects; I like the Fade feature on its slow speed best, where the colors rotate through all the color choices. But for the night light it will be straight red. This pic is on the "orange" setting.

I'm loving the look of these! They're much less clunky than the Christmas lights we had hanging before, but have a much brighter light. We can see fairly well with only these on. They're very small and easy to hang, too. We just used Dollar Tree mounting tape to hang them, and it only took 10 or so little strips of it. As you can probably see in the pictures, bluish white is definitely the dominant color, so if you're looking for a greener light you might want to go for a fully green strand. I was looking for a more teal color so this worked out pretty well. They do also tangle pretty easily when you try to unravel them, so we found it easier to have one person unravel while the other hangs. They've only been up for a few days, but I'll come back and edit if they burn out or anything like that.

.There are a hundreds of Chinese-made lights out there & I’ve tried many of them. For 2 years now HAHOME is the best. Some have worked over 1 year nonstop. Definitely recommend!!!

Remotes were a pain.One worked one didn't. But sometimes one worked both

Put in a wreath. Looked great. Easy to wrap around the wreath. Ran every night from Thanksgiving to New Year. Real test will to see if they work next year after a year in storage.
