The curtains are nice but a little too thin. Doubled up, they work perfectly to let the light in and still allow for privacy. I ended up having to order a whole new set I could double up, which only works because of the grommets.

It is hard to find a nice 12" valance in the stores, so I thought I would try these. They are good for what they are, which is an inexpensive, short length, medium coverage valance. They are not room darkening, but not sheer. When I pull down the blinds from the top, sunlight does come in a bit. If you have cellular blinds like these, its nice because you can still get some light in the room without having to pull the blinds halfway down to accommodate a longer valance. The material is lightweight and washes up nicely. The grommets are small, so make sure you rod is small enough, these are not your typical large grommets. They are silver but you wouldn't be able to tell unless you are close up, if you are worried about the silver clashing with your style. However, as you can see from the closeup, some of the grommets are sewn in closer to the top of the fabric than the others, so the valance hangs down a little lower at the end. I had two like this, so I put one at one end, and one at the other. You can't really tell the ends hang down just a bit longer than the rest. If this would bother you, I would recommend ordering several to get a match, and then return what you didn't need. This is a 95" window with an outside mount rod, and I used 4 to get this look. Lastly, the color says chocolate, but in my opinion is has just a touch of a reddish look to it. Up against my dark brown couch in the daylight, I could see the difference, but its not a drastic clash of color. Overall, a decent valance for the price if you want something basic and short.

I needed to discard my old valance because it was matched to an old bedspread that also had worn out after ten years. The Navy color matched exactly to the Navy solid Comforter that I bought for a new bedspread. The only problem was my old 1 inch diameter valance rod was way too big to fit this valance so I elected to buy a new rod only 1/2 inch in diameter that fit this valance well. In fact I liked this valance so much that I elected to buy 5 of them to cover a space of five feet. That was tantamount to one valance per foot which gave the a very bunched look and also reduced the sheer effect considerably. You do not have to do that obviously but be aware this is a semi sheer valance so more light will get through the longer the distance each valance has to cover.The silver grommets give the valance a Modern some might say Nautical look in the Navy color which I purchased. I am not sure if that would be true in the other three colors since I have never seen them in a real life application. Navy goes well with many colors and it really looked great against the Behr paint Ground Ginger color walls in the bedroom. (Ground Ginger is sort of a sage color --yes Green and Navy do look great together!)The Navy color is also great I think for a Male's bedroom --that's just a personal opinion. It is a very dark Navy color and to me a Masculine shade-but still great for anyone really or a room the whole family uses.These Valances are well made and really look Great in the Navy Color. I noticed that with all 5 of these packages of this Valance there were no loose strings or unfinished hems. The fabric has the texture of Burlap and it holds up well with sensible washing on delicate. Never wash this Valance with any other clothes as you may get lint that will ruin the look of the solid Navy color. I am not a fan of the look of grommet curtains, but I purchased these because they are the color, size, and price I was looking for, so I figured it was worth a shot. I like them! They are a vibrant red, and the material has an almost woven look to it. One drawback is they are quite see-thru when light shines through them. However, I expected this from the description and reviews I read before ordering. I ended up fixing this - and eliminating the grommet look - by folding over the top of each panel and attaching blackout cloth to the back with drapery clips. I've attached a photo to show what I mean - the right curtain panel is "out of the box," and the left one is with my modifications. Now they are exactly what I had in mind for my west-facing kitchen window!

When I first received the product, I thought the red was a bit too bright compared to what I saw on the computer monitor I was shopping from, and the fabric seemed a bit thin. However, I put it up in my kitchen window any way, and in the light of my kitchen window, I had to say I was surprised to see that I did like it after all. It is a tomato red color, a perfect complement to my Fiestaware in "scarlet". In closer look at the product picture, that is a true representation of the slightly see-through fabric when the outside light shines through, and it does not bother me at all. I also warn you to not try to match colors on a computer monitor, although in my case, it worked out and I really do enjoy my purchase.

These curtains are good quality fabric and grommets. The add a nice touch to bare windows, without completely blocking out light - more like they filter the sunlight a bit. They don't dominate the window (of course, depending on the size of your window - ours were 76W x 42H), and gives the décor a light and functional touch. I bought two so it would go across our whole window, and it since it doesn't taper or anything at the ends, it looks continuous and not disjointed at all. I would buy them again, for sure - they compliment all the white trim around the windows and doorways. If I had more places to put them, I'd buy more, lol. Also, I was so excited to hang them up - but you should probably iron or steam them first to get the packing crease out.

I returned two sets of valences in the same package They were two orders. So the return for both did not get creditedThey were very nice but They did not fit the rods that I have

Looks great. Well finished. Those are worth the price.

Love the look but yes comes in different lengths when you order. Had to order a third one to match one of the first two lengths. Very odd.

I thought the material may be a little lighter but actually I was very happy with the quality of the curtain. As to be expected after being folded in a package for shipping, it needed to be ironed and the wrinkles ironed out very well. After looking through many stores in my area and not being able to find a "red" valance, I was very happy with this one!
