I don't quite understand what you mean. Do you need a 1 / 2 inch M35 cobalt drill? Yes, we have 12.7mm, which is 1 / 2 inch in English.

is this good for 10mm rivet nuts?

I do not think so...since 10M rivet nuts have an od larger than the 10M screw it will facilitate. Here is how I know i.e. 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10...etc. 10 is higher (larger diameter) than 8.9mm. You can search for a chart that will help you determine the size bit you need. It will be in the neighborhood of12mm I expect. Be sure to get someone to help you drill the holes if you can't hold the drill plumb.

Confused by your size chart. Is the dia. of your 10.5 bit 10.5 or 9.6-10.5?

Not sure what chart indicated 9.6-10.5 mm. The bit shown in the listing should cut a hole of 10.5 mm with little error. What gets confusing for some is when a drilled hole is to be threaded (tapped). A smaller hole is needed and requires a smaller drill bit size than the bolt size/thread that must screw into the threaded hole. Hope I did not confuse you more.
