Epossumondas Saves the Day

We love these books-any book where I can get my accent on gets a gold star from me! This one has a snapping turtle of epic proportions and has led to all sorts of discussions. They are not the prettiest books, but the stories are fun and captivate my kids.

Epossumondas has become my 3-year-old grandson's favorite character. Mine too! The storyline is charming. The characters are well drawn. Just the right amount of silly with a bid dose of Southern charm. Have purchased ALL these books and plan on buying for gifts.

Epossumondas is back! It's his birthday, and his Mama wants to make him his favorite cake: strawberry shortcake. But, she's all out of "Sody Sallyratus" (baking soda). So the adventure begins to try and make it to the store to pick some up, but a huge ugly mean Louisiana snappin' turtle is out to gobble anyone up that passes his way. It'll be up to Epossumondas to save the day! Such fun, my kids love to read this over and over again. And they love to sing the book's jingle, "Sody, Sody, Sody Sallyratus!".

I absolutely love all the Epossumondas books. I have given them to all my grandchildren and many of their friends along with the little stuffed possum that I purchased on Amazon.I work at an elementary school and have purchased the books as a donation to the library.They are so funny and colorful. You will not be disappointed.

So happy to get these books! We will enjoy them for a very long time.

This is one of the best series of children's books ever. As an early childhood educator this takes the cake:) Many lessons are taught here thorugh fun filled adventures....Add accents and props you have the best lesson plan and story telling time ever!! A true hit...Coleen Sally will always be remembered for her "flavorful tails";)

My 2 year old absolutely LOVES these books! This is by far the best one, and her favorite. We read it almost every night. They are great for doing voices when reading. I think the Epossumondas series will be a favorite of our family for years to come.

My granddaughters and I love this book. We can read it every night and still be entertained by the culture, language and story.
