Gave my shaver an extended life
As long as you know how to solder, these batteries will give your shaver an extended life. I replaced the batteries twice before the motor started to drop substantially in performance and the blades got noticeably dull.

Works great so far
Replaced the factory battery in my nearly 10 year old Norelco 6885XL that just wouldn't hold a charge anymore. It was a great shaver and I hated to replace it, so I figured I'd try to repair it. With this battery pack and a set of replacement heads, it's like a brand new shaver!Yes, there is some shaver disassembly and desoldering/soldering involved. In my 6885XL, there were some small plastic retaining pieces that you have to carefully remove and replace. As far as the soldering, it wasn't a big deal for me as I solder regularly, but for those inexperienced or less equipped for soldering (a desolder pump or wick is a must to do the job easily), I see how it might be awkward or challenging. If your shaver is like mine, you need to desolder and unbend the tab ends from the *bottom* of the circuit board, then just pull the tabs completely out with the old battery. Replace with the new battery and insert tabs (check polarity!) into holes, bend them over, and solder again on the back of the circuit board.

Brought my Norelco razor back to life!!
My 6 year old Norelco 7885xl razor battery life kept dropping until I had to plug it in to recharge every other day. I finally got tired of that and started shopping for replacement batteries. I Googled my razor to see how difficult it was to take apart and replace the battery. I found this online article very helpful: [...] I found this battery to be reasonably priced so decided to take the plunge. I ordered it from Amazon and received the product within a very short period of time. I used the above mentioned article to help me disassemble and replace the batteries. Warning: This project is not for the feint of heart! Unless you have good soldering skills I wouldn't recommend attempting to replace your own batteries. Fortunately I had the tools, soldering iron & solder sucker to get the job done. My razor now performs like it did when it was brand new. I am very pleased and would highly recommend this product.

Never buy this product (Electric shaver battery BT-2AA.)
I replaced the original battery with this product a few months ago.The original battery had worked for more than 10 years. But this battery started to have problems after a couple of charges. Now it's totally dead (after 5-6 charges).Never buy this product.Either the one I bought is a defect or it's a fake. The quality of this product is totally unacceptable.

Dead after 8 months
The batteries worked great for about 8 months and now they are dead. I expected more life out of them then that, but then again, they weren't that expensive. So I give them a 3 stars.

got tools?
you'll need a pencil type soldering iron with solder and a pair of small cutters to do the job. I cut the + and - tabs as close to the old batteries as possible which is easier and safer than unsoldering the old connection, too much heat on the old tabs could damage components on the circuit board they go to. I tinned the new tabs with solder. Get the new tabs against the old and apply a bit of heat which should melt the tinning and secure the connection. Plug in the charger to see if you have a display indicating a good connection before assembly. Take your time you'll only have to do it every five years or more.
