This is the best watch produced by Pagani Design to date...
If you know anything about Pagani Design watches, you already know that they make "homage watches" that offer a lot of value for your dollar--albeit with quality-control quirks that have always managed to keep Pagani Design watches out of the top-tier Chinese watchmaker ranks (e.g. San Martin). However, with this interpretation of the Rolex Explorer II, Pagani Design has produced a watch that is comfortable, reliable, and of the highest levels of fit-and-finish I've seen. The milled clasp, perfectly fitted end-links, and bracelet with screws in lieu of push-pins (or those dreaded pin-and-collar monstrosities)--all deserve special mention here because they come together in a terrific rattle-free combination. Yes, for whatever reason, the dreaded pressed-steel dive extension remains...but, I guess that it wouldn't be a Pagani Design watch without at least one "characteristic" that leaves owners questioning it's purpose or need. The top-hat sapphire crystal is clean and clear. The magnification-window is also made of sapphire and, on my watch, was properly centered and usable. Case finishing is excellent if not exceptional for a watch costing under $150. The immovable bezel is brushed in a lovely outward pattern away from the dial. Lume is about the best ever seen on a Pagani Design watch, and the Mercedes handset and GMT hand with the aged-radium "faux-tina" really add to the aesthetic of the timepiece. The movement winds and hacks, and in my watch it runs about two or three seconds fast per 24 hours. The timegrapher recorded 0.2 beat-error on a mechanism running at 21,600 bph. The date switchover is swift, albeit the date wheel is white with black numbers (for better readability) instead of black with white numbers. Although the movement is more accurate out-of-the-box than some Seiko watches (or microbrand watches sporting the ubiquitous SII NH35 engine), unfortunately, the minute hand doesn't always align with the dial markers--so, if you are obsessive-compulsive, that could be somewhat irksome. There's also no display-back on this watch, but a nice solid stainless steel caseback with a rather restrained engraving of a compass-design and gently waving sea. The crown is a screw-down crown, marked with the Pagani logo, and it works without any issues. All in all, a tidy, quality package that makes a GMT watch affordable and attainable. Yes, it is a homage with "derivative design" cues from the Rolex original. And, yes, the Steinhart Ocean One Vintage GMT 39 is likely the closest approximation of the fabled Rolex Explorer II made in Switzerland. But, for $139 or less, you will be hard pressed to find something nicer or better.

Outstanding watch!
My wife gifted me a stainless &18k gold Rolex GMT Master II watch back in 1998. She purchased it from a local high-end jewelry store for around $10k. Now itโs worth double that amount; so valuable that Iโm afraid to wear it for everyday wear. This Pagani Design is a clone of the Rolex Explorer II, and is almost perfect. I can wear this watch that looks like a Rolex, without worrying that I will loose tens of thousands of dollars if it falls off my wrist, is damaged or stolen. It has a Seiko automatic movementment, and mine is accurate to +5 seconds per day. Sapphire crystal, screw-down crown, solid stainless steel links, 100M water resistance, clear back showing the automatic movement. Unbelievable watch for the price!

Loud rotor, but otherwise good value purchase
Review of the Explorer 2 (GMT) w/ Jubilee mimic For the price, it is a very good buy. It is the closest looking to the original and quite well done. The bracelet is very comfortable. Warnings: I thought the GMT hand was purely for decoration. But it turns out the tolerance on setting it is very wonky so you have to get the plunger in just the right spot. My wrist size is 7" and I had to remove every last link and adjust the micro adjust as tight as possible. It will not fit even a 6.9" wrist. The most annoying thing is the rotor. It is squeaky and makes sound more than I would like so any activity where I am actively moving my hand is out. I wish the rotor was quiet. But still, for $125, this is a really impressive mimic.

Very nice copy of an extremely expensive watch
This is a very nice "homage" to an extremely expensive watch (RolXX Explorer 2). It has a good weight and a nice clasp and bracelet, but it does dig in sometimes. This is an automatic watch, the GMT function does work and it does keep time properly. The watch does not have much in the way of reserve power (I didn't wear it for 2 days and it had stopped about about 10 hours earlier. Based on when I took it off to when I reset it - about 30 hours) I really like it though. 2 little things I really didn't like are that the instructions don't mention the GMT function, and the cyclops (glass bubble over the date window) seems to have too much magnification to be able to read the date at a glance, you must be directly above it to read clearly. Also note that the luminous material is blue which I like, just not traditional green. It's also pretty good staying readable for at least a half hour in the dark when properly charged (use a flashlight or desk lamp for about 5 minutes) There is a lot to like here. The price is right, the function is proper and it really looks the part. Knowing with what you will be dealing with, this is still a great watch to have and recommend.

Excellent quality. Very attractive.
Excellent value on a great watch. I have many wrist watches. My most expensive is a Breitling and cheapest is a Winner (Mastop) from Amazon. This watch is stunning and on a full wind is 15 seconds per day face up and also crown down when you are walking. I own a Timegrapher and the bear error is .1 ms and Amplitude is over 300 degrees which is excelent. I recommend this watch highly!

Product would not keep time or keep working without shopping.
Watch came, I was very happy with appearance, seemed like a quality product. After reading instructions which were very substandard (Chinese written etc). Watch wind mechanism seemed off, didn't work properly. Was finally able to set the time but the watch would never keep time. On numerous occasions during first day would stop working. I cannot recommend this product or manufacturer. Substandard & defective product.

Almost a perfect homage
I really liked the watch when I first got it. The homage to the Rolex Explorer II was a very good attempt and the fit and finish was very good for a $130 watch. Strap was solid, fit and finish was really good. Weight was about right for a watch of this quality. However, there are little things going on that would make someone with OCD go crazy, and I don't have OCD and I was going a little bonkers. The cyclops is slightly off center (too low) and I'm not sure if it was made like that intentionally, or if they did it so that when you turn your wrist to see the watch, you're not always right on top, but at an angle. Either way, it looked "off" to me. The movement and operation was smooth, but the watch I got, it was losing one minute every about three days, so basically after a week I was off by almost 3 minutes. I had to constantly adjust the time. After almost two weeks, I was done with it, I returned the watch. A watch should keep accurate time, otherwise, what is it's purpose? Good watch, nice homage, but just not good for what it's supposed to do.

dont waste your money
Bought this watch recently and it now runs over +10 minutes fast per day. It was fine at first, then suddenly went off the rails. Basic checks didnโt fix it. This is not acceptable quality for any mechanical watch. I reached out to the seller; no response. Not recommended.

Pagani Explorer 2 superly built watch
Purchased at the end of April with delivery scheduled for late May, arrived two weeks early. Great service and this watch certainly does not disappoint, superbly and beautifully built keeping good time so far The reviews on this watch state that it only has a push in crown, incorrect it does have a screw down crown important for water resistance. Fantastic value for ยฃ139
