Window Weatherstrip Seal 1/4" Bulb Bubble Kerf Mount 4 Colors & 6 Length Options (50', Tan)

This weatherstrip seal is perfect to replace rotting, sticky seals that have been damaged by sunlight, moisture, or just time. It's simple to cut to size and apply into the existing window grooves. I wish I had bought this long ago. It's pricey, but worth it! Great quality.

The seals on my 20 year old Peachtree double hung vinyl windows are all shot. Since Peachtree is no longer in business, I was unsure which size diameter bulbs to purchase. I originally purchased a 5/16" diameter and installed it, but it was a little too large. I was able to get the kerf in the channel, but when the window was closed, the latches did not want to lock the window, because the product was a little bit too big.I then purchased this product with a 1/4" diameter bulb. I removed the bottom window and pulled out the old worn out seal. I then cut this 1/4" size bulb to length and just pressed it into the window channel, then reinstalled the window. When closed the gap is sealed and the window locks open and close easily. The first window total time for the job was about 10 minutes. Subsequent windows took maybe 5 minutes each. A really easy fix.I used regular shipping, which was 4-8 days, but it arrived in just 2 days. This purchase worked out very well.

Product is for resealing windows. Works fine on bottom seal but I need one size up for seal between the two windows.

Was looking for an economical alternative for my Anderson double hung wood windows the 1/4 bulb worked out well. For tight fits slide a flat screwdriver along the channel to give it a slight taper. Baby powder or corn starch on the portion that inserts into the channel made installation easier.

Wasn’t sure if this would fit and it did. Make sure your window (or door) has the beveled slot. It was easy to push the lip of this product into the beveled slot in my window sash - product held snug and tight.

My house had all of the windows replaced in the late 70s. Installed were super quality, wood windows. After 40 years of Minnesota winters and several paint jobs, these seals were looking really rough and probably not doing as much as they should with respect to weather proofing our home.Ordered this product and it was a perfect fit for the old seal! Advantage was the windows are being painted white, so I was able to get the white seal to match my new color. Bulb is slightly thicker than old one which will certainly seal more effectively.Only advice I have to offer is if you’re painting double hung windows, take them out of the jambs and pull the old seals before you paint. They come out much more easily, plus you’re able to get some paint around where the seal sets.

Satisfied with shipping, quality and option to purchase in different lengths and bubble diameters. Even though I had access to the old weatherstrip they were so deformed, gooey and deteriorated I wasnt sure about the kerf width/depth or the bubble size even after measuring. I ordered the shortest length they had in one size and it was to large. I ordered a size down in the shortest length and that was the charm. Then placed this order for the longer length. Slide right into the kerf with minimal thumb pressure..
