WeberSpirit SX-315 Liquid Propane Gas Grill, Stainless Steel

In our old house, I had an older Spirit II, but our back deck had a slider right behind the kitchen. I could just watch through the slider door when it was cold or windy out. Our current house does not have that kind of deck, instead we have a side porch with which the grill basically faces away from the house. Having the digital interface on my phone makes it so much easier to do stuff while the grill is doing its thing and keep an eye on the grill temp and, with the probe, the meat temp. It works really well.

I bought the Weber for the company reputation. The grill is very well built and fairly easy to put together. I did it all myself in a couple of hours. I was impressed by the quality of the construction compared to others I've had. Weber also will have parts for it in the future should any be needed. I just cooked my first steak on it tonight using the "smart" feature and it was cooked to perfection. No, they are not cheap, but you get what you pay for.

I bought my first Weber 35 years ago.It was still working fine when purchased a new Weber Genesis EX-330 with Wi-Fi two years ago. It works so well I wanted to replace another Weber we have at our vacation home in La Quinta, Ca. I saw this advertised at Ace hardware and jumped on it. It works just as good as the Genesis and with the Wi-Fi app and probes and timer it eliminates a lot of hassle. I totally recommend this grill. It's kind of expensive but Webers are infinitely rebuild-able.

After 2 years the stainless finish has the appearance of a leopard. Calling customer service tells me, because I live near the coast, salt water may do this! In other words, too bad. I guess Weber should only sell to the center of the country?
