Sharp out of the box, nice handle

Easy to use
Figured I'd buy the tool. I was sick of not being able to get a good even skive and I wanted to see if this would make it easier. It in fact made it way easier. I personally didnt want to drop 100 on a new tool for something thats not making me money. But now I might start seriously pursuing this again.

Good tool
I really liked this beveler but it got dull after so many uses. Made a tool to sharpen it but happy with this purchase overall!

Dull, useless.
This would be a great butter curler, but I wanted a functional skiver. It was like trying to skive with a spoon. Bad edge right out of the box. I think this may be the second time Iโve tried this manufacturer and have nothing but complaints. Splurge a little and get a better tool.

Moderate price and good quality
I bought a couple cheaper training tools, but after way short a time wanted to get better. These work well, certainly look good, and are easy to sharpen. Unlike some cheap solo offerings. My friends think I'm better because the tools look better, and that makes me do more to get better. A motivational way to get going !!

Does not hold an edge
It's a decent french skiver for beginner crafters. I don't recommend if you skiv thin leather often, it does not hold an edge well. Make sure you strop often. If you are running a business or do leather projects often then splurge for a high quality one. I have already messed up a few projects with this brand.

A little bit work....
After far less sharpening than I originally thought, this skiving knife is a must have! It completely but precisely decimates anything in it's blade path. First photo is a received, last photo is after sharpening and removing a psychotic amount of material. Original review: (It is a serviceable tool that will need a good amount of work to be the way it should. Pay once, cry once or, know how fix stuff.)

This tool is of very poor quality
This tool arrived with a badly burred edge which will not cut butter. Very disappointed.
