Nice little yarn. Was a childhood favorite. Fun reading even if no single bomber crew ever had so many adventures in so short a time.

My 9 year old is loving this book! It is very exciting!

I have a copy of this book which my Dad had when he was a kid and I probably read it about a jillion times. For an adult, it would be hokey and predictable, but for a young boy it's cool. Okay, Barry Blake and his bombardier sidekick Chick Enders, almost win the Pacific war singlehanded as they fly in the "Rosie O'Grady," which is the name of their B-17, but the story is good, and very readable. I just wonder how many of today's kids even read anymore, and particularly books about WW2.
