Acquired a mini quad for free and it had a very weak and intermittent spark. I suspected the ignition components as the stator gave off good voltage. Immediately after replacing the CDI, regulator, plug, and plug wire, it fired up with one pull and ran like a champ. Great price.

Unless you are swapping out the same parts... don't waste your money. I have a mid 80s kx65 (that's what I put in the search bar), said that this kit will work... it doesn't. I wouldn't have bought this had I known none of the wiring was there... no install instructions... nothing! I don't read braille, and I am not gonna try to wire this up by braille either. Doesn't matter if it was $3, still wouldn't have bought it had I know what wasn't included.

I was doing a whole overhaul on my go-kart, and this was part of what I had to do redo my whole wiring and that included the spark plug boot and it fit right in.

Just don't waste your time. Nothing matches up, it all has to be modified. It most definitely is not plug and play, not even close.

everything worked great, but couldn't test the cdi as I needed a DC not AC cdi :/ live and learn, everything else is great though, assume cdi is too?
