I was looking for a gate that was tall enough and sturdy enough to keep my dogs on the porch. The opening onto our porch is very wide. I contacted the company before buying with my measurements and they told me exactly what I would need to order. I installed it by myself and it fits perfectly and has held up well even though it's outside and partially exposed to the elements. I heartily recommend it!

It should honestly cost less for what it is.

We bought four Midwest pet gates to keep our little four-legged power house at bay and out of trouble (most of the time)!! They work great. I don't recommend very many products but I do and have for this product!!

I have not even screwed it in yet - holding on the stickie tapeI bought 4 gates and 3 extensions - i have been dealing or should is say living in a gated community since the mid 80’s. I have tried may gates and Midwest by far is the best gate. I am sure i had purchased it back then i would still have. This gate allows opening forward/reverse and there is no squeezing your butt or gut to get thru. The extension allow a large fit and does not take away from the security - will likely buy 3 more gates and extensions in the next while. When you have 10 dogs the added security is paramount for their safety and mine knowing I can enter a room or the house all the while ensuring some zones are restricted unless i am present.
