Will the 10g sfp+ ports support 1g/gige sfp's (i.e. are the ports 1g and/or 10g capable)?

If you try to use a 1Gbit SFP transceiver that isn’t from MikroTik you will likely at first have problems and it might not work. If this happens you have to go into RouterOS and turn off auto negotiate for that port. You want to manually select the speed as well. Then I’d recommend that you use masking tape or a label maker to mark the physical router so that you or a future user knows that one of the ports has auto negotiate turned off. You’ll actually need to do this with the MikroTik S+RJ10 as well as it has problems sticking too the highest speed your cable can handle (it’s a multi speed 1G/2.5G/5G/10G transceiver) I don’t know if SwitchOS has the same problems.

Do these switches have the ability for mlag? i.e. i want to have two of these as core switches for redundancy.

I don't believe so. You would need to check with MikroTik to see if that feature is available in the Router OS.

Will cisco sfp-10g-sr and sfp-10g-lrm sfp's work in this?

Cisco compatibles have worked well for me. This is not nearly as finicky as a Cisco switch.
