DeMarini Bustos Fastpitch Softball Bat (-13)

Decent alloy softball bat. Definitely doesn't have the same pop as a LXT. Daughter is on a 12u fastpitch select team and this is her cold weather game bat and artificial softball (dimpled) batting practice bat.This review is for the 31" -13 bat.I don't think there is a better alloy based fastpitch softball bat, if there is I would like to know.FYI composite bats should not be used in weather below 60F or hitting artificial pitching machine BP balls.Grip is very nice, 2 piece construction helps reduce barrel buzz.This is our second Bustos bat, the first was a 29" and she outgrew it.

Bat has great swing weight. My daughter is smaller but pretty strong. Allows her to generate great swing speed. The composit portion helps with hand vibrations that you usually get with full aluminum bats. Ball sounds good coming off the bat and reinforces positive feedback. Color scheme is unique and it’s easy to find when it’s her time up to bat. Overall we have been happy with this back after 6 games and 6 practices in. I would buy this again.

My daughter loves this bat! No more complaining about bat sting on her hands and when she actually hits the ball it has amazing pop and makes her feel cool she can hit the ball that far. The cool design makes the bat standout in the dugout which I love. We just finished our first season with this bat and are very happy.

This bat is very impressive. My daughter plays for a 10U travel team. She has a 31" 21oz Xeno that she does amazing with when she's up against a slower pitcher. I found this bat by searching for 31" 18oz. I didn't want her to lose the length of her reach but I wanted her to be able to get the bat around better with the faster pitchers. She has been able to do just that! It's built her confidence and she knows she has the two options to bat with.

My daughter currently uses a 28inch 17oz easton I wanted to get her a bat that was little longer and thought the drop 13 might be a good idea to help with bat speed. She swung the bat and told me it felt heavy I told her it was an ounce lighter. I decided to weigh her old bat and the bustos her old easton was 17.2 oz when I weighed the bustos I was surprised to find it was 18 oz when it was advertised to be 16oz so its actually a drop 11 not 13. I will be returning the bat

Pretty disappointed, we were in the break in period with my daughter, (Less than a week from receiving it, )when the joint between the barrel and handle gave out. The handle collapsed completely into the barrel. My daughter loved the bat, it was her first bat geared towards high end competition, and the weight and length were perfect for her. She's nine, and honestly impressed me with the way she maintained it. Another girl on her tournament team plays with the exact same bat, and her parents said she hasn't had any issues from it all season. So, I'm not sure if this is a problem with the overall design or if we ended up with a bad apple. The performance of the bat before it collapsed was impressive for the cost, so I won't give it one star, but it's in the process of being returned. We won't be taking a gamble on these again though, and will go with a higher quality DeMarini or another brand. Amazon customer service and the return process was simple, quick, and geared towards customer satisfaction as always.

We've never actually been able to use it because covid19 interrupted softball, but the bat arrived in perfect condition. Its very lightweight and my daughter is happy with the way it looks.

This is a perfect bat for a youth player. Very light but also long enough to cover the plate. The perfect bat for the next step after tball, whether it be coach pitch or machine pitch. Price is right too. You don't want to spend that much money on a bat at this age. Expensive bats come at a later age!!
