Gator Cases Pro-Go Series Ultimate Guitar Gig Bag, Fits Standard Electric Guitars (G-PG ELECTRIC)

I have several Gator products including amp cases and various guitar cases. I have never yet been disappointed with a product from Gator. They always make top quality gear. This bag is a great addition to their line. I also own a top of the line Reunion Blues RBG1 guitar case/bag. Comparing the two bags, I would say the Gator G-PG is very close to the Reunion Blues in quality and overall protection. One thing I like about both of these cases is the fact that they open up completely, like a hard case, as opposed to the way some gig bags only open enough to slide the guitar in (while trying not to scratch it against the zipper). I like a case that you can open and check out the guitar before lifting it out. The Gator bag also has some features not found on the Reunion Blues bag like a removable body insert (to accommodate longer guitars) and a front handle (which I find very handy on any gig bag type case) and lastly a rain cover, which is conveniently tucked away in its own little pocket.. I doubt that I will use the rain cover, but I can see where it would be handy to have for some musicians who are outside a lot. Another comparison is that the shoulder straps on the Reunion Blues case tuck-away in pockets so they are not always dangling off the case. The Gator's straps do not have that tuck-away feature, but they are easily removable, so it's not too much of an issue for me. The only possible con with the Gator bag is the white interior. The fabric is extremely soft and plush, so that's cool, but I am concerned that the white fabric will quickly show soil and stains. Aside from that one issue, the Gator G-PG is well worth the price and definitely a case that I will keep and use for a very long time. I can't say the Gator bag is superior to the Reunion Blues, or vice versa. In my opinion, they are equal, but different, if that makes any sense. The Reunion Blues case might have a slight edge as far as overall protection, but the Gator case is still plenty strong and has the extra features that I mentioned earlier. Which one to buy is really going to be a matter of personal taste. Regardless, you can't go wrong with the Gator Case and since this review is supposed to be about the Gator case, I will sum up by saying it is an excellent product and a great value for the price. Any guitar player would be happy with this case.

Bought the same case a few years ago for my Godin LG. I needed a sturdy gig bag which would do well on an international flight. Fit in every overhead bin without a problem, even in the smaller planes. Now I’m planning to bring my PRS overseas and I didn’t think twice about which case to get. The metal clips are KEY, they don’t break like the plastic clips on other bags. Zippers are heavy duty and the fabric is super sturdy. Love the waterproof cover which comes included. Have used it many times in pop up storms when I’m out with my guitar. Highly recommend this bag.

Was recommended by a friend, only had it a week, but really impressed. It even has enough room to hold my large Zoom N6 modeling pedal. Perfect for headless Ibanez Bass.

I bought this as a gig bag for my Fender Mustang bass. It has a 30" scale (instead of the usual 34") and this gig bag is a perfect fit - if you remove the removable inner pad. The case is well-padded with lots of pockets to hold items. A great find!

I love this damn thing. I am a private music teacher and I teach every instrument as well as audio engineering, so I bring mini-versions of things to be able to do it all, and this helps me stay remarkably organized. The hanging cable straps in the front pocket are a nice touch. Also, I didnt realize this when I bought it but it comes with a rain cover for the case. Its my main guitar case and my main instruments permanent vehicle. And don't let the fact that its not an ABS or traditional hardshell case fool you, this thing is made to take a beating.

High quality with tons of storage!

I own two of these bags. I have the acoustic version as well. The protection is great. Zippers work well. The padding is dense without being overkill the lining is very soft and protects your guitar finish well. There is plenty of room externally in the provided pockets and the rain cover is a nice addition. Backpack straps are functional and storable if you don’t use them. It’s always felt like a premium product. Would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for a premium gig bag. My guitar has fallen over in this case multiple times and I don’t even worry about it. My acoustic one has gone back and forth with me to church 3-4 times a week for over three years now.

The best gig bag I have ever had. Light and sturdy with plenty of extra storage space. Easier to get around with than the hard shell case my guitar came with and just as protective. I will get one for my acoustic as well.

#Einleitung: Mit dem Erwerb meiner ersten "richtigen" Gitarre, eine Duesenberg Starplayer, stand ich vor der Frage - wie transportieren? Der originale Koffer wäre mir zu teuer gewesen und günstigere Koffer hätten wahrscheinlich nicht gepasst. Überhaupt wollte ich lieber eine Gigbag, da ich viel mit öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln oder 2-Rad unterwegs bin. Die "Gator G-PG E-Guitar Bag" habe ich dann auf Verdacht bestellt und gehofft, das meine Gitarre rein passt und das tut sie. Hier also mein Review nach zwei Monaten testen: # Äußeres und Verarbeitung Äußerlich macht die Gigbag einen großartigen Eindruck. Das grobe Textilgewebe scheint sehr Robust zu sein. Die Reisverschlüsse sind ordentlich Dimensioniert und hacken nicht. Die Poslsterung ist schön fest und insegsammt wirkt die Tasche ehr wie ein Stoffüebrzogenes Hardcase als wie eine Tasche. Das merkt man aber auch am Gewicht, denn schon Leer wiegt die Gigbag mehr als die Taschen die ich bisher in den Händen hatte. #Tragriemen Die Tragriemen könnten etwas mehr gepolstert sein, glänzen aber mit ihrer Verstellbarkeit. Ich kann die Riemen per Karabiner den Gegebenheiten anpassen. So trage ich die Tasche im urbanen Getümmel tiefer, damit ich an keinen Türen hängen bleibe. Beim Fahrradfahren kann ich sie höher setzen und falls ich schon einen Rucksack auf habe, kann ich sie dank eines Ringes am Kopf wie eine Umhängetasche nutzen. Ist die vielseitige Verstellbarkeit ein wirklicher Segen, so macht mir die <Karabiner an "Halbring" Befestigung> etwas Sorgen. Der Halbring verdreht sich eigentlich bei jeder Nutzung und so wird das Gewebeband an der Tasche immer ungleichmäßig zusammengedrückt und belastet. Ihr seht das am unteren Karabiner im Foto. Bisher gibt es zwar keine Probleme aber der echte Langzeittest steht noch aus. #Griffe Die Tasche hat nicht nur einen gut gepolsterten Griff an der Seite, wie man ihn von vielen Taschen kennt, sondern auch noch einen am Hals. Dieser hat sich im Nahverkehr schon so oft bewährt, das ich nicht mehr darauf verzichten wollen würde. #Regebhaube Es gibt eine extra Regenhaube die stramm über die Gigbag gezogen werden kann. Diese befindet sich am Rücken in einem flachen Fach am Hals. Einmal hab ich sie bisher nutzen müssen - hat dicht gehalten. Toll ist vorallem das man sie nach dem Gebrauch separat trocknen kann. Nur das Große Gator-Branding hätte hier nicht sein müssen. #Taschen Neben der Tasche für die Regenhaube ist am Kopf ist eine leicht gepolsterte Tasche für größeren klein kram, mehr als ein Boss-pedal würde hier aber nicht rein passen, da es wegen der Polsterung zu flach ist - normaler Kleinkram passt aber viel rein. Der rote Innenstoff hat einen guten Kontrast um sein Zeug in schummrigen Licht zu finden. Die Reisverschlüsse gehen nicht bis zum Boden, so das Kleinkram auch nicht herausfallen kann, wenn man den Verschluss mal nicht ganz zu zieht. Unter dem Kopffach befindet sich ein kleineres flaches Fach am Hals. Dieses ist ebenfalls rot ausgekleidet aber viel mehr als Ersatzseiten und ein paar Pleks passen hier wohl nicht rein. Das letzte Fach befindet sich am Bauch der Tasche und hat viele Detaillösungen zu bieten: - Notenfach in das auch ein MacbookPro ohne Hülle reinpasst - gefüttertes Padfach - auch hier hätte ich keine Angst eine Hülle wegzulassen, sollte aber auch mit passen - 2 Kletttaschen für Kleinkram - Klettriemen für's Kabelmanagement - Reisverschlüsse gehen wieder nicht bis zum Boden, so das Dinge nicht so schnell rausfallen können Insgesamt überzeugt dieses Fach auf ganzer Linie, wobei ich mir bei meiner Bepackung wünschen würde, dass es noch 2 cm Tiefer wäre. Der Grund sind meine geschlossenen Kopfhörer die ich nebst Notebook, Interface und 3 Dicken Kabeln dabei habe. Wenn ich die ungünstig dazupacke, spannt das Fach. Ich muss also immer schauen, wie ich das Fach packe. Wenn das Fach in der Tiefe mehr hergeben würde, könnte ich meinen Kram blind und sorglos reinwerfen. #Innenbereich Das wahrscheinlich wichtigste an einer Gigbag, aber hier ist alles richtig gemacht wurden, so das ich nicht viel dazu sagen kann. Der innenstoff ist so weich, dass ich meiner Gitarre nichts anderes mehr antun würde. Der Schockabsorber am Boden ist für verschiedene Gitarrenbäuche anpass- oder entfernbar. Meine etwas Längere Duesenberg hat auch mit Absorber gut in die Tasche gepasst. Der Halsprotektor ist ebenfals per Klett justierbar. Die Gegenüberliegende Seite am Kopf und am Tremolo sind mit dem selben widerstandsfähigen Gewebe der Aussenhülle bezogen und sollten lange halten. #Pro's und Contras + robust verarbeitung + gute Polsterung ca. 30 mm + separate Regenhaube + viele Verstellmöglichkeiten am Tragriemen + Viele Fächer mit cleveren Detaillösungen + Entnehmbarer Schockabsorber (Platz für über-lange Gitarren) + Seitengriff gut gepolstert + zusätzlicher Griff am Hals o Preis/Leistung geht in Ordnung (ca. 120 €) o Gator-Branding auf der Regenhaube etwas "too much" - Trageriemen wenig gepolstert - "Halbring - Karabiner" kombination suboptimal #Fazit Insgesamt bekommt die Tasche von mir eine klare Kaufempfehlung. Ich habe keine Angst meine Gitarre damit durch die Stadt zu tragen oder im Kofferraum eines Autos zu transportieren. Die Verstellmöglichkeiten und Einzellösungen sind herrvorragend. Einzig diese Halbring-Karabiner-Kombination scheint mir nicht ganz ausgereift zu sein, aber vll mach ich mir da auch zu viele Sorgen. Für den Preis von ca. 120 € ist man mit dieser Tasche gut beraten und auch meine etwas längere Duesenberg passt gut rein, ohne den Schockabsorbner herausnehmen zu müssen. Übrigens gibt es die Tasche auch als Akustik, Classic, Bass und sogar Double-Bag-Modell.

Mooi, stevig en goede afwerking!

Ok, so I bought this as the 60s style hard case that came with my CS Strat while being very cool, is like carrying 'round a hollowed out tree with a leather handle that wants your fingers to die. I've previously had a slightly negative association with gigbags as in the past, the ones I've seen have been cheap and offered the protection of pizza box. Not any more! This case is amazing! It's like luxury luggage for your guitar but more practical. The padding inside is ace and would easily keep what's inside safe from all but the most severe & deliberate mistreatment. I'd even say it probably does a better job at dispersing impact shock than most hardcases. The quality of the exterior is brilliant and very rugged. Rubber bump stops provide extra protection from wear at the bottom for when you put it down and it despite looking pretty darn weather proof, comes with an extra rain cover that stores away in its own pocket. The zips, padded straps and fittings are of all high quality and the practicality is a godsend. There are sectioned off pockets so you can carry all your leads, interface, iPad, phone, notepads securely. I honestly can't think of one negative thing about this case. If you're weighing up wether it's worth the extra few ££ let me tell you it is! You're guitar will thank you : )

■用途・きっかけ ギターを付属ハードケースに入れて持ち運びしていたのですが、体力の限界が来たのでギグバッグを購入しました。 軽量なNAZCAと保護性能のGATORで悩み、ギター保護を重視してGATORを選びました。 ■良いところ ◎スーパーストラト（Caparison: 全長101cm）: クッションをつけたままギリギリ収まりました。 △モッキンバード（B.C.Rich）: 無理すれば入りますが、幅が足りずボディが突き刺さります。 △ヘッドレス（strandberg）: 隙間が多すぎて安定しません。 底クッションをつけたままなら100cm程度、底クッションを外せば107cmのギターなら収まります。 ギグバッグ自体が3kgですが、ショルダーストラップのクッションがある程度あるため重さはあまり気になりませんでした。 メインポケット内のPC用ポケットには、11インチ iPad Pro が余裕で入りました。 13インチ MacBook Proはメインポケットには収まりますが、PC用ポケットには収まりませんでした。 レインカバーが付属しており、ちょっと力はいりますが簡単に被せることができました。 ■イマイチなところ バッグの素材がヤスリのように固く、肌を擦るだけでものすごく痛いです。 メインポケット以外にもいくつかポケットはありますが、それぞれが小さく収納性能は良くないです。 保護用のゴムが下部にしかついておらず、立ててしか置けません。 ショルダーストラップが厚いため、バッグを寝かしたときに変形してしまいファスナーが閉めづらくなります。 ショルダーストラップを収納する場合は、毎回外さないとできません。

Today i received my ProGo Guitar Case. Is is simply amazing. Its wonderful. Inside of this case is so soft as of a baby's bed, it treats my Ibanez as a baby. She lies in this soft case like a baby !! If you truly love your guitar just buy this. It provide all the protection that an electric guitar requires. I had to wait for 2 weeks. Amazon took little bit time delay for delivery.
