The media could not be loaded.  Now that my daughter is in her own apartment she's cooking a lot more and the hand mixer she had just wasn't cutting it. I've got a Kitchenaid (KA) mixer and love it, but I didn't really want to spend $300-$400 on a mixer for her. I researched and found that this one has similar specifications to my KA model. It's a great starter mixer that performs very similarly to my mixer. It's got a sleek and modern look to it and it's beautiful on her counter. The exterior construction is plastic and aluminum, so it's very lightweight. That's a huge plus, because my KA is super heavy and a pain to move around. Since this is so lightweight, it's helpful that there are 6 suction cup legs on the bottom to keep it stabilized while using. They work fabulously at keeping the mixer from moving around while in use, so it doesn’t accidentally spill when whisking on the faster levels. The high-performance motor is powerful and not super loud. The speed knob turns smoothly and is easy to adjust. There are 6 different speed levels that allow you to go from using the dough hook on low speed to using the wire whisk on high speed. The top of the mixer tilts back, so it's extremely easy to change attachments and to put the bowl on and take it off. It's also got a tilt lock, so that no one gets smashed fingers while working. The 8.5 quart mixing bowl is high quality stainless steel that's sturdy and durable. It's got a solid handle that makes it easy to carry. Not only do you get the dough hook, beater and wire whisk, but they include an egg white separator and spatula. All of the accessories and the bowl are dishwasher safe, so cleanup is a breeze. I don't know about my daughter, but my favorite thing about this is the splatter guard. My KA doesn't have that and it would be so useful. I LOVE that it's attached to the mixer head and not the bowl. It even has an opening in it so you can add in ingredients while it's mixing without making a huge mess. I'm highly impressed with the functionality and performance of this mixer. It's worth every single penny and then some. I know what I'm buying when my 20 year old KA finally dies.

Have been experimenting with baking over the past year and a half. Picked up various items to assist, but this should have been one of the first! Making more than a small amount of anything, you need one of these. This blows away the hand mixer I had been using in every category - ease of use, capacity, quality of finished product (consistent and well mixed/combined). Not to mention the time and energy saved... This is a solid product - heavy and does not move when running, easy to swap attachments and operate. Capacity is great (just made multiple cakes in one round) and has thus far performed extremely well. The finish is smooth and durable (easy wipe down to clean) and the red color is bright making it the star of the kitchen. Very happy with this purchase and well worth the price.

Large bowl to mix and it is sturdy. Like the suction cups on the bottom. The down side is that it is suggested not to run it for more than 10 minutes at a time

its an awesome mixer i dont use it much but it works great and for the price you cant beat it....its not name brand but its also not overpriced....again i dont use it much and maybe it would wear out...but i have had it a while with no problem...its sturdy and has suction cup legs...the bowl is awesome and easy to clean...it works very well for me...

I love it. Easy to use and great product

It was great for the first month but now it's making a noise every time you turn it on I have to open up the lid and check the belts and stuff that's probably what it is so I'm not too worried about it but I just haven't had the time to get around to it it's kind of annoying that being it's a new product, would have thought it would have lasted longer before breaking something in it or the belt slipping off but it could have been user error

I've only used it a few times so far but it has worked great. Not too loud and super easy to clean. I haven't checked yet but it looks like the standard kitchen aid type attachments will work on it too.
