Can I use the Pocketalker Ultra to watch TV?

Yes. The included 12-ft extension cord connects the Ultra to your TV's headphone or audio-out jack, so you hear the TV clearly through your headphone or earbud. Everyone else can keep the TV at a normal volume. Mounting clips keep the cord tidy.

Does it work with my hearing aids?

Yes, if your hearing aids have a telecoil (T-coil). Plug a neckloop (sold separately) into the Ultra's headphone jack and switch your hearing aids to T-coil mode. The sound then goes straight into your hearing aids, with no headphones needed.

How long do the batteries last, and what kind does it use?

Two standard AAA alkaline batteries, included, last up to 200 hours of typical use. That can mean weeks or months of daily use before you need new ones. A red LED lights up when the unit is on and warns you when the batteries are getting low.

Is it hard to set up? My parent isn't comfortable with technology.

No. There are no apps, Bluetooth pairing or programming. Plug in the headphone or earbud, connect the microphone, and turn the large volume knob to switch it on. It's one of the easiest hearing amplifiers for seniors, and caregivers.

What comes in the box?

The Pocketalker Ultra amplifier, a plug-in microphone, a folding headphone, a single mini earbud, a 12-ft TV extension cord, a lanyard and 2 AAA batteries. A removable belt clip on the back lets you use it hands-free.
