The Name's Familiar Mr. Leotard, Barbie, and Chef Boyardee Paperback – May 31, 1999

This book contains hundreds of short biographies about people, both famous and not so famous. Many of them are Americans, but some are from other countries and from the distant past. Here you can learn the origin of cities, products and terms. Among the things I found in reading it are: 1. Many people left school to start what became a successful business and career. 2. A number of people came to the United States from other countries with poor backgrounds and became successful. 3. A number of companies included several family members. 4. An initial failure did not stop some people from becoming successful eventually.This book is well worth reading. I rate it at four stars instead of five only because for me a five star book has to have deep and lasting meaning.

This is one book that is needed on everyones shelf. Truly an entertaining and creative read. Great gift for that hard to buy for person. I was unable to put it down this summer until I realized I was getting a sunburn! Looking forward to a sequel.
