Each is made of mild steel then seasoned in linseed oil while hot to bond a protective coating to the surface that will help prevent rusting and give a nice blackened finish to the hook. These hooks average +/- 5 inches in length - each is handmade so some variation is possible. These can be used in closets, on rods, over fire places/stoves, in barns, inside or outside. Heavy Metal Rocks
It's nice to have a solid, handmade, decorative metal sculpture for hanging plants or wreaths on doors. These hooks are very attractive and will last a lifetime. More importantly, they will always remind me of a dying trade that my ancestors worked.
