I love these kits. My 10 year old grandson is always looking to build things and loves a challenge. This is the third one he has built. He started with a marble run puzzle that was suggested for age 14 and up. He sailed through it with no problem and then built this kit and another one.The pieces are fragile and require patience so this is not for every child. But if you have a child who loves challenges in creating and has a lot of patience and is high on the manual dexterity scale this might be something they would enjoy. These are also very affordable and you get a really nice item when you are done building.

This was a great find and a really fun build that my eight year old son and I did together. The pieces are sturdy, fit together perfectly, and make a really well built model. The sitting mechanism works really well (though not terribly accurate), and the only complaint we had was that after about thirty firings, the support bars broke apart and needed to be reassembled and glued. Honestly, it was an easy fix, but I felt like that section could have been made a little stronger out of the box. Anyhow, the fact that this really fires made this a hit for my sons and I. We highly recommend this!

I bought this for my son (14) to give his dad for Father’s Day since he wanted something they could do together. He’s made similar things but they were always too simplistic. This was def a great choice. My husband and son would work on a little bit each night to stretch it out but the end result was impressive. They both really enjoyed putting all the pieces together and having a functioning piece at the end. The quality was very good. We would definitely purchase another kit in this same format. I almost wish there were more complicated kits for them to work on. There may be but this one seemed to be the most complicated one I could find.

Rokr model kits are very cool, and the instructions are clear and straightforward (despite the slightly broken English). I've really enjoyed building these with my 7yo son, and he is getting more confident handling some of the assembly. So this is a great learning experience. But $40 is quite expensive for four laser cut sheets of wood, which we assembled in about 3 hours. Also, ours has broken a bit. Both of the larger vertical access arced bow pieces snapped, though both were due to abuse. So that is less of a complaint than a warning to be fairly gentle with the model. But the latching trigger mechanism is also starting to fail - it's difficult to get it to catch and hold the launcher piece - and I think that's just from regular use. Overall, I'm satisfied with the kit, and with Rokr in general. But it's worth noting that this is pricey and it's more if a decorative model than a toy.

Gifted to a 16 year-old and he had a great time assembling it. Good quality overall, highly recommend.

I bought in a few of these for my uncle at christmas. I never know what to get him, but he builds model airplanes so I thought maybe this would be something interesting for him to do. He absolutely loves them and now it's a go-to at Christmas time for him. They are a bit on the expensive side, have a lot of small pieces and require someone with patients to put them together. If you know someone who loves puzzles or models then this is definitely an interesting next step for them. I bought a carousel with airplanes on it for him last year for Christmas and it actually works! It plays music and moves! Pretty nifty! Highly recommended!
