Fish MateF14 Aquarium Fish Feeder

Superlike this machine that i just need to set the number of meals per day(from 1 to max 4 meals. Only downside is i cannot travel more than 14 days. After continuously using from august 2022 to jul 2023, device is not working now.

This is a great feeder, it is reliable, you can control exactly how much you feed. However, be a aware of a couple things to be sure it's good for you.1. It takes 3 hours to position a section of food over the dispensing hole so depending on whether you have flakes or pellets, it could take a while to dispense all the food, and it may not happen right away but sometime in a 3 hour window.2. Feedings have be at least 3 hours apart.3. The food portions are not big but with a 3D printer, I made an extension that sits on top and gives me a lot more capacity, see the picture. If you do this, may need to experiment to be sure all the food come out OK. Don't worry the timer / motor is strong enough to turn the extra weight.If you are OK with all this then it's a great feeder for you!

I love simple things that cleverly do exactly what you want them to, and this thing's about as simple as it gets. This thing's literally just a mechanical 24 hour clock. As the clock spins, it's just got a little placeable notch on it, that as it turns, pushes the outer ring (which contains the food) over the little opening. Sweet, simple, and clever, it does exactly what you need it to- and because the actual mechanism is so simple, with no LED's or screens or whatnot that you don't need, the battery lasts for ages.One small caveat about this thing- it does NOT do well with flake food. It does have a little airline attachment to keep the food from clumping due to humidity, but with thin flakes, they have a tendancy to slip under that outer ring and lift the mechanism off, preventing it from turning. If you use freshwater flakes, I strongly recommend Tetramin Tropical Crisps instead while you're away- the little wafers are thicker (I refer to them as fish chips, because they literally do look like tiny pringles for your fishies) and don't seem to cause this problem.As with anything, I also strongly recommend buying this so it arrives about a week BEFORE your vacation, just to put it on a test run and make absolutely sure it works with your setup before leaving it unattended. But I've found it to be an excellent solution to vacationing while being an aquarium owner, and much more reliable than the little food-block vacation feeders that people seem to have such mixed results with.
