It does exactly what it says. It’s a smaller dock compared to the original dock and this has an Ethernet port built into it! If you play smash bros with a GameCube controller then you can just plug and play without an adapter or dongle, there are 2 GameCube controller ports built in and 2 USB ports to connect wired controls that are supported by switch. The GameCube controls can be used for other games but not compatible with a lot of games because of the limitations of the controller. I use it for Mario Kart, smash bros mainly

Was really excited to try the built in Ethernet port.Unfortunately the pictures in the review tell the story that the download speed was significantly slower on the powerbay Ethernet compared to my 3.0 usb adapter.Returned the item :-/

I keep my switch sitting on the brook power and it seems like my switch is dead because it won't charge even on the original dock and of course, it won't turn on because it's dead! I should have known.The solution I found was not leave it sitting on the Brook Power when you aren't using it and make sure you keep your switch charged.

Everything worked as intended except for plugging the power bay into an external monitor. The resolution dropped to 720p, and wouldn't go up to 1080p when we opened Smash Ultimate.Updating the firmware didn't work, and the Brook website doesn't actually have a point of contact.

It just doesn’t work and you got no tech support from the manufacturer.

I picked this up for my brother who is a big switch player. I remember all the years of us playing smash with GC controllers and this looked like the perfect thing as it allows GC controllers to be used on switch. I gave this to him and he has been using it with his switch along with GC controllers for some games. he said that GC controllers don't seem to work with every game, however I don't have a switch to confirm that.The ethernet + HDMI ports are nice as this is like a 1 unit solution for everything!He is pretty happy with it!

This charger is really easy to use, it looks great and gets the job done well.The construction quality seems standard.The look of it is kinda cool, definitely more interesting than the default Nintendo interface.Overall it works well and I like it.

Even after a very frustrating time trying to update the firmware of the device, the gamecube controllers refused to be recognized in either ports after firm clicks and many many many tries.

Funktioniert wie es soll, der Game Cube Controller wird als Pro Controller erkannt.Beim einsetzen der Nintendo Switch sollte man darauf achten das der Stecker richtig ausgerichtet ist, der Anschluss ist beweglich, sonst bekommt man sie nicht angschlossen.

暑さで本体の熱がなかなかだったので開放的なデザインのこちらを購入。購入してから試すタイミング逃してて２週間ほどしてやっと使用したものの、映像はモニターに映るが音が出ない、HDMI接続って音も拾うはずだよな〜？と緩み確認、刺し直し等弄ったものの音は出ず。通常のドックよりコンパクトで使いやすい、(遅延もそんな酷くないと思われる)という点は☆４、音が出ないのは☆−１、音絡みが仕様であればこれでこの値段というのはちょっと……ということで☆−１、仕様でないなら返品か交換してもらおうと返品手続きしようとしたら対象外？らしくカスタマーに連絡をしてくれっていう面倒なものが出てきたので☆−１駄目だこりゃ(─.─||）

あまり参考となるレビューもなく、不安をおぼえながら購入しました。　我が家にはテレビが2台あり、どちらのテレビでもニンテドースイッチで遊びたくて、ドックを探していたところ、純正は高いし、純正以外のものであれば、珍しい機能があるものがほしくて、youtubeなどを参考に探してたところ、この商品に出会いました。　youtubeは、商品を紹介しているyoutuberが案件というこでいいことしか言わないというイメージがあり、あまり参考にならないものと思っていました。　しかしながら、この商品刺さる人には刺さる商品といえます。　というのも、有線接続可能、ゲームキューブコントローラー使用可能ということで純正ドックをある意味で超えており、購入してから不具合はまるでありません。また、サイズは純正ドックに比べて小さく満足度はかなり高いです。　こういう商品こそ、大手電機量販店などで扱ってもらいたいとおもえる商品です。　ということで、これを作成しているBrookというメーカーが今後どのような商品を作っていくのか、注目しています。メーカーの方がんばってください。

The media could not be loaded.  壊れていないHDMIケーブルで色々試してみたが動画のようになるかそもそも出力されないということがあった。(Power Bay側のHDMI端子が上手く刺さってない感触がある。)ただ充電や有線LANは機能しているし、GCコンも問題なく使えた。テーブルモードで使用するなら問題ない。
