Will the 40v 5.0AH battery also work in this model?

Yes, if it's from our GreenWorks G-Max 40v line. Please provide a model number so we can better advise you.

Whats the maximum cut height?

More than 1” and battery will run out in less than 20 minutes

My battery is a 40v 4.0ah max battery for a greenworks chainsaw, will it work in a greenworks mower that uses a 40v 5.0ah battery?

As long as the batteries are physically interchangeable (and they're supposed to be with this company), the battery is electrically compatible as it can supply the requested voltage. As long as it doesn't have insufficient cooling or some such issue it should work. The amp-hour rating is essentially a statement of capacity. "4ah" means the battery can deliver (on paper) 4 amperes, at 40v, for 1 hour (put another way, it is a (4am*40v=)160 watt hour battery). If you draw fewer watts (via fewer amperes OR volts), it'll last longer than an hour, more watts and it'll last less than an hour.

How much is an extra battery

This unit comes with 1 battery. Additional batteries can be purchased from our GreenWorks G-Max 40v line.
