Makes a great keyring quick release
This has very powerful magnets and I use it to keep my car key attached to my other keys. I just yank them apart when I take the car in for service. It never comes apart without my making it happen. This has about 7 lbs of attraction, so if you need such a device, don't hesitate to try this out. Be creative with it uses.

I use to switch different keys. The magnets are quite powerful. Great for keys-type situations. I don't think it can hold a heavy pocket knife though. It might. Once that magnet starts to sway back and forth with something heavy on it, the magnets MIGHT detach. It MIGHT not. Very strong magnets, though.
