this is the second one I purchased. Actually the third. They do run a bit larger than I expected, but that was my fault, they give exact measurements, I goofed, great customer service. They fixed my mistakes both times.This is a wonderful training aid. It makes sense. You can control a thousand pound horse by having control of its head, it works fabulously on an 80 pound dog.I particularly like the padded nose. Unlike the old ones with no padding, this stay where it's supposed to, without one side or the other slipping up over my dogs eye.Walking has gone from a dreaded chore to a pleasant time spent exploring with my best friend.Great product, Great Company

I originally bought the medium size in red and it was way too big. I returned it and bought the blue one because the small size was available. The small size fits my lab/pit bull mix and my purebred German shepherd. I use a training tab with the head halter and it is awesome. No pulls, no yanks, no hassle. After a couple treats and some encouragement, the dogs stop trying to pull it off their faces and we have an awesome walk. The padding on the nose band is a nice touch.

I didn't give a 5 star as unsure that i like that then is tension through the ring under his chin. Plus is he self regulates and knows it will draw tight should he pull. Also allows for me to release the nose strap to give him a break if not walking - eg: stopped for coffee, or resting under the trees on a hot day. NEGATIVE it twists around when he struggles against it! That may be him still getting settled with wearing it??? Hope this helps you? We have two Goldens. One is ten, the other two. Our ten year old would pull us down the street when we tried to walk him, so shamefully, we gave up walks & simply played ball with him in the yard for exercise. Then the baby came along. We decided to 'do-it-right' with puppy training, etc. This pup simply did not respond favorably to the training technique for walking a pooch. He just never 'got it'. We literally were taking 3-4 steps, stopping & sitting constantly during our walks. It never got better to the point that he walked without almost continual pulling & yanking. I'd tried a gentle leader piece on our dear departed Golden some years ago & had gotten mixed results, so I decided to try it with this pup. Well. It was like night & day. First of all (& this is pure luck), he accepted the collar right away. Then, when we 'took off', he was REMARKABLY calmer. We only had to have him stop/sit one or two times. So, decided to try it on our ten year old & he took right to it as well. Now, we can walk our dogs together like 'normal' folks. No marks around their muzzles with this wider collar as the Gentle Leader we bought first. Love it. (no itchiness like another reviewer noted - no dirt, either because our dogs not rubbing his nose on the ground - he's walking beside us calmly.)

Good quality product, easy to figure out, nice cushion where needed. Dog didn’t like it but that’s not the reason for the 3 stars. I measured according to the guide but the loop around the nose ended up being too big and slips off easily. Can’t use it.

I have been using what I would consider a first generation "Head Halti" for many years. The concept is simple; it fits comfortably over the nose but if the dog pulls, their head gets pulled to the side, away from where they want to drag you. Fast forward 10 years and I saw this updated version with padded nose portion (a definite plus!) and the additional support of the nose band on the sides. I read the reviews and there were a lot of concerns about the size being too big so I measured twice and chose the size large based on the seller's size chart and not other reviewers' suggestions to order a size smaller. I'm glad I did; with proper adjustment, this fits exactly how it is supposed to fit.I believe the error that some reviewers have in fitting this on their dog is to assume that the nose piece is supposed to fit snugly. The only part that should fit snugly is the adjustable strap that goes behind the ears. The nose piece should fit loosely so that if they do pull, there is enough room for it to slide through the ring.My dog was much more comfortable in this head halti which I attribute to the padded nose band. It's much more humane than choke/pinch collars and I find it more effective than the no pull harnesses. I have a happy dog and my dog has a happy owner!

This has no way to keep the nose band in place, the collar part don't stay tight, if the dog pulls slightly it extends and they can get loose. I purchased a different halti type and exclusive use that. If I could I would send this one back. Do not purchase unless your dogs not a puller

It works. Had to do some sewing to make it snuggly fit my dog as it was a bit big. But now it is great!

Este tipo de bozal me ha resuelto problemas con mi perrito al salir a caminar, es muy practico para corregir sin lastimar. yo adquirí el mediano. Se tiene que medir bien a la mascota para poder ordenar.

Lovely comfy fit, dog loves it

Looks good and seems comfy but because it has no locking device my dog slips out of it easily when leash is relaxed.
