Medical Grade 100 percent Manuka Honey Gel Tube Natural Healing of Wounds,1 Ounce (Pack of 1)

First off: the cap DOES seal!!! Simply twist it off to dispense the product. To close the tube, turn the cap over, insert the tiny plug in the cap into the tube opening and press gently until it "snaps" in. It's very easy to do. I had two 8mm punch biopsies on lower shin, right next to each other. Both wounds popped open when the sutures were removed a week later. Per my surgeon's suggestion, medical honey was recommended for the open wounds care. After rinsing wounds with sterile saline & patting dry, I applied the honey to to both and covered with a non-stick pad. Placed a Tegaderm dressing over that to secure. Repeated daily and the wounds are healing nicely, no pain and draining as they should. I also have used this product on my elderly Mom after a 1.5" melanoma excision (which could not be sutured) and it healed beautifully and with no issues. Her surgeon was impressed!

This product is very good !! I crushed 3 fingers at work and 2 of them were destroyed when I snatched my hand out of machine leaving nothing left but crushed bone and nothing left on one side of my fingers , like you took a filet knife and cut muscle and skin off. After seeing my 2nd surgeon for skin grafts he said if I could get it to heal we might not have to do grafts. He said if I could find some medihoney that might help with healing. After calling all over the US we couldn’t find any. I found this product on Amazon and he approved it for me to use. If my pictures were not so bad I would show you how good this works. I’ve been using this and the healing power of my Lord Jesus Christ you would not believe it. I’m a believer !!!

After looking through all the choices for honey meant for a medical purpose, this product fit the bill. My doctor recommended a different brand, but it wasn't available anywhere. Because of where it was produced and its description, I felt confident in using it. The packaging is poor because it is apparently meant for a one time use. The top twists off so that you can use just a small amount. But then the cap does not seal the tube. That was fine until I needed to travel with it. The product itself is working; it is easy to dispense a small amount; it deserves all five stars. But a twist off top that can't be resealed... really?

I use this on my hubby's legs every day. It's great medicine for wounds sores . It's a God sent..

REVISED to 5 stars from original rating of 3 stars because this stuff healed a stubborn skin crack in 2 days, when a famous brand "skin crack healer" failed in numerous applications over more than 2 weeks. So I get skin cracks in the winter. The one I'm writing about was in the fingertip of the middle finger. It stung on contact with water of course. It started getting thicker as if fibroblasts were proliferating, but the surface remained open, red, and hypersensitive. So I dug this out, applied a very thin line on top of the crack, and put a band aid over it. I changed the band aid 3 times per day for 2 days. Then it looked healed and when I applied alcohol to the surface there was no sting. So, regardless of the deficiency below it fully deserves 5 stars and my deep gratitude. Still, there are two separate aspects of quality to medical items: documents and manufacture. This "medical grade" item is not adequate for "documents" because it contains no papers at all. Instructions on use, cautions, warnings, and risks are needed. Oddly it bears the "CE" mark of quality for documentation, but in the absence of instructions I don't see how it deserves this. It also bears the warnings/cautions symbol of an explanation mark inside a triangle, but there is no mention of warnings or cautions. Regarding the manufacture itself I do not see any fault, but I am not a laboratory. It smells sort of like honey.

Well it's honey in a tube. I do not know what the "strength" of the MGO is cause it does not say anywhere. However that being said I just don't understand the problem with the sealabilty of the cap that people are expressing. My opinion is that they are just not mechanically inclined. Ya see, the cap twists off as it breaks the seal and then you reverse the cap and insert the other end in the hole and push in. That's it folks. It seals quite well. Sure. it would be nicer if it has a screw cap cause the cap now could pop open if pressure is applied to the tube but if you are careful it should be just fine.

My daughter was undergoing chemo side effects - severe mucusitus. We bought this with faith that healing of tissues can also happen from inside. We started putting a tiny amount diluted with water in a little plastic syringe, and although she found things hard to swallow and would throw up mucus, we gently started injecting this in her mouth. Very next day her mouth stopped bleeding, and the next day she was able to speak a few words. We only saw improvement going forward. Maybe she still had some pain because it takes time to heal especially with waiting for the counts to come up. I would recommend this medical grade honey over any pasteurized honey.
