Game Genie - Sega Game Gear

If you have a Sega Game Gear and you're having problems beating one of your favorite games, this is what you need.The only negative thing about the GG game genie is that it's big. I've enclosed a few pics just to show you how big.Aside from that, I found it's very easy to use. Just take your game and place into the genie label side up and plug it into yourGame Gear. Turn it on and select the codes you want to use, that simple. If you're looking to buy one of these, I'd suggest youlook for one that includes the codebook. If that's not possible, there are codes available on the internet.There was one reviewer that said the genie drains the battery. This is not true at all. This product works very well for me.Just don't use unofficial codes and you'll be fine. Recommended if you like to cheat.

I absolutely love this thing! being able to finally beat many of the games I have acquired has been excellent! However some of the games do not have Game Genie codes online but have Action Reply codes instead. Sometimes the Action Replay codes are actually better than the Game Genie codes.One con is that now with 4 connecting points for the game (Game Gear to Game Genie, and Game Genie to game cart) you can get issues with it showing anything on the screen so you now have to blow on or clean off 4 contact points sometimes. Otherwise this works perfectly!

This is a game genie for the Sega Game Gear that works very very well! It modifies the code that comes from the cartridge to the game gear thereby applying the cheats. For this it works very well. Its also built very well and solid. My only complaints : When attached to the back of the Game Gear it looks horrible and adds weight. It makes the bulky awkward game gear even more bulky and awkward. I've also notticed that it helps the game gear to drain the batteries even faster. Outside of these flaws, I deffinately recommend getting one!

I ordered this item but when it arrived, due to a lack of checks and balances or inspection....it did not work! I regret this happened but I believe it was a mistake made by this e-seller. But after realizing what happened, I decided to change my original review of this company. I just need to look at reviews before I decide to order anything else unless it directly from amazon.com's actual warehouse. Just learn from my example before you buy anything from an e- seller on any site. I was a bit disappointed.

Nice tool if you want to enjoy playing your games without frustration and when there's no need to spend more time wasting to build up. Sometimes you just want a good break and jump into an experience then jump back out.

It works awesome.. to be clear this Game Genie works by allowing you to submit 3 codes before starting any Game Gear game. You w ill have to know the Genie codes before starting up the Game Genie, and they do not save. Overall this product is awesome!

Super awesome - especially since it comes with the code book. Sure, you can go to GameGenie.com and even get way more codes. But it's really cool having the original book, which I had when I was a kid.
