When you said continious steam, does that means you can lock the press button without holding it so you can have a free hand?

No. Continuous steam means this steam cleaner can continuously steam out for about 8 minutes without having to stop to reheat after every 1 or 2 minutes’ spraying. Actually, what you have focused was taken into consideration by us before, but the US safety standard and the sense of responsibility we have don’t allow us to make such a design as you said. Any time you release the button, being distracted by other things, it will automatically stop steaming, which is safe to all, especially those having babies around. Frankly, the button requires a little bit force, which differs from most out there.

The steam that comes out of my steamer is warm instead of hot steam. Did I get a defective one?

Hi, the steam temperature at the nozzle can reach 105°C (221°F). After connecting the extension hose, the temperature may be a little lower but still works great on cleaning. Please check the video below.

Could this be used on outdoor cushions that have dust and a little mildew?

If the cushion have dust, you will need to wash it with water. As long as the material of the cushion is high temperature resistant, then you can use it to help remove some stains that is hard to remove. Spray some detergent on it and keep the nozzle close to the surface of the object to achieve a better cleaning effect.

Do i have to keep on pressing the button during use, or is there a way to lock it in pressed position?

The button must be pressed during use for the steam to come out. There is no mechanism to lock it open.
