Buy it now! It is worth it!
Why did you pick this product vs others?: Over the years I've used various shaving brushes: synthetic, boar hair, horse hair, and pure badger hair. The bristles have worn short on some, the handles have cracked, the hair have fallen out, and the knots have dropped out of the handles. So I decided it was time to try a 22 knot Parker silver tip badger hair shaving brush. It has been an excellent choice from day one. Quality: There are no issues with hair loss or smell as sometimes can be experienced with a new shaving brush. The thickness of the 22 knot brush allows a very thick creamy lather to be developed very quickly. Although users may find the traditional shaving mug to small to whip up lather. An inexpensive traditional tea cup is narrow enough at the bottom to hold a puck of shaving soap and wide enough at the top to allow the swirling needed to generate a thick rich lather. Value for money: Definitely a great value for the money. If you enjoy treating yourself to a good shave you will certainly be well rewarded for your investment. Even the really cheap shaving brushes will last a few years, so this may well last a lifetime. That means the actual cost is likely less than buying a cheap brush every 2 to 5 years. Durability: Not one dropped hair. This brush is likely to last a lifetime! Design: This brush was picked for the design of the handle. It is a pleasure to use. It feels good in the hand. The brush was also picked because it is the one Parker shaving brush with a 22 knot head. It requires a little more room in the bowl to lather well, but it the thickness and richness of the lather the fuller brush head creates is fabulous! Effectiveness: After 50 years of shaving brush use, it is my opinion that this brush rates as the best I have used! It is worth your investment. But do also invest in a tea cup to replace your shaving mug.

softest brush i have ever used with great lather
I have been using the same economy priced badger hair brush for 8 years, until I lost my luggage at an airport overseas and was forced to buy another. I thought, why buy another 20 dollar one when I am an adult and should enjoy the finer things in life! Despite reading that silver tipped badger hair brushes are supposed to cost upward of 150, this one is about 1/3rd that price and dear god is it soft. The lather is unlike anything I have ever experienced too. Each time I use it (only 3 times so far) the lather gets better and more luxurious. I cant recommend this brush enough. Buy it, you wont be disappointed.

Great brush, but sheds
I really love the feel and price of this brush, though it tends to shed quite a bit. Update: The shedding’s slowed down to 1-3 hairs lost per shave, but it’s still kind of annoying. In terms of performance, however, the brush still makes a great lather and is comfortable to use. It’s good if you want something that’s not too expensive and prefer softer bristles. But I wouldn’t recommend it for someone wanting a long-lasting piece.

My best brush yet
This is only the second brush I have had to buy. My last one lasted 8 years and it was half the price of this one. So I have high hopes for its longevity. It holds a lot of lather with a nice soft feel to my face when applying lather. I have been using it for about a month now and I have only lost about three hairs and none in the past 2 weeks.

It's a good brush. It's no better than a $15-20 brush.
I like that this brush has a slightly taller handle so it's less likely to get your fingers covered in lather while building and then applying. That's about the extent of why anyone would or should pay this much money for a shaving brush. I have been using an $11 shaving brush for the last two years. It too is 100% badger hair The hair / bristles in this brush are no softer, nor any better at building lather than the cheap brush. I've also lost nearly as many hairs out of this brush in the first two uses as I've lost out of the cheap brush in 2 years. The stand it comes with is worthless. It's plastic and has no weight. When you want to pick up the brush the stand comes with it. It doesn't slide in and out easily. It actually sits down in the stand, so you have to lift it up to the bristles / hairs in order to get it out of the stand, thus requiring two hands every time you want to pick up the brush. One to hold the brush and the other to hold the stand. I got a cheap metal brush / razor stand in part of a $9 shaving kit that came with a little travel brush and a shaving bowl. That cheap stand is metal, hefty, and stays behind on the counter when I pick up the brush. Getting past the fact that it's priced 3x what it should be, it does work well. Soak it, soften the hair / bristles, and then put it to work. It builds a good lather. The taller handle does help keep your fingers out of the bowl and away from the lather so you don't get slick finger and drop anything.

Perfect Brush
This is without question the nicest shaving brush out of the many I have used now for the last 15 years of wet shaving every morning. The handle is superb, with just enough heft and perfect length. Also the handle is milled, as opposed to formed and therefore has a perfectly flat bottom and sides with no cheap looking seams. The bristles are top of the line with just enough firmness while still being soft on the skin. I really don't think this brush could be improved on, especially at this price point compared to other high quality brushes. May just have to buy a black one to alternate.

Tres bon blaireau
En deux tours de main il fait une vraie mousse abondante et aérée. Rien avoir avec le blaireau que j’avais. Les poils sont très denses et ne se perdent pas.

Took a long time to come but worth waiting for. No problems with bristles coming out.

The Beast of Badger Brushes!
Arrived late in the evening. Out of the box there is a faint animal smell. Soaked the brush. It picks up and holds on to a lot of water instantly! Washed with mild shampoo then hung to dry. Next morning lathered Tabac straight from the jar. The brush loaded up quickly and built a voluminous lather quickly. The brush was left loaded with the lather for a few hours. Hours later the dried lther quickly rinsed out of the brush. Since then I have shaved with this amazing brush 5 times, bowl lathering 2 different soaps. She shure does everything I was hoping she would do! Soaks quickly and holds water. Easy to gently squeeze excess water out. Builds amazing lather. The bristles have the softest tips I have ever felt. No scritch or scratch but with a strong backbone it will push back strongly if you splay the brush and does a first rate job of exfoliation. Holds a good amount of lather and is willing to get it onto your face. You could spend several times the amount of money that this brush costs, I have ! Twice!! This is a superior brush. Does all the important stuff better than my british brushes at less than 1/4 the price but best of all this one is holding onto the hairs! Total lost hairs after 7 uses is THREE HAIRS. THREE TOTAL!!! My more expensive ones lose more than three per shave. I am 70 years old and have been shaving a long time so I am not a newbie. I know how to take care of a brush. This one is a winner. I love the water retention and heat retention of a badger brush over the synthetics. AS I have said this one is a winner!!!

Nice brush, not sure if I got a bad one?
Not too sure on the quality of this brush hence the 3 star rating. After only 2 uses, It has shed a lot of hairs and the hairs on the outside of the brush appear to be ‘curling/splaying’ away from the main knot of the brush. Very soft however, but not sure I have just got a bad one.
