Ordered 0.5mm in purple and yellow/gold. At first I thought they sent me a used purple because the spool was not as filled as the gold. Then I realized the gold was thicker even though they are both marked 0.5mm. I sent back the gold and requested a replacement in the correct - this too came in at least 1mm even though it is marked 0.5. Some one needs to go in and check because the quality control department must of been out the day they gold was labeled! Also if you are expecting a noticeable waxy feel,like the waxed linen cord from a craft store this is not the cord for you- the wax is basically non existent!N

I purchased the dark red in 0.5mm after needing a smaller size than the 1mm dark red that I already had. These are literally the same size; I am unable to use them on the smaller beads. I usually like this brand and have not had this issue before. I’m a little disappointed.

I've spent quite a bit of time looking for similar cord/thread to repair/replace aging cord/thread on an antique necklace I had. It eventually broke, so I was frantically trying to find a replacement. I had ordered from the same brand/company before in different sizes for other projects for myself and made for others, but the diameter of the cord was too large. Thankfully, after weeks of searching, I was able to find cord that was both round, waxed, would be sturdy, that I had similar/same brand from, and would do the job. I've recently just repaired the necklace (with over 300 individually hand carved, and drilled pieces it was a 3+ hour project, especially with some holes not exactly the same size), but the cord managed to work. It was easy to tie to the hook and eye components, absorbed and has held the glue I've used to seal the knots, and used to thread some of the beads, and so far looks a lot like the original that strung the necklace together. I feel confident it will hold, will last awhile with care, and for the price, the amount is worth it, so if another repair is needed (hopefully not) I will have enough string to go back and do the job again knowing it'll work. I can use it for customers for small pieces as well.

I used this product to make waist beads that should at least last a year and all that I’ve sold have broken within a week. I have to refund the people who made purchases or give them another product. I am very unhappy

I wanted to try something new instead of the clear stretch cord I had been using for bracelets. So I bought the same size (.5mm) in the leather cord. It is WAY thicker than the same size in a stretch cord. None of my beads fit on it that fit on a .5mm stretch cord. Also the new beads I bought with a 1mm hole barely fit as well. Buyer BEWARE.

So, first things first: This thread is not waxed. If it is, it’s the least waxed thread I’ve ever encountered.- I purchased the .5mm spool, and it is thicker than my .8mm Ritza Tiger thread. I also bought a spool of pink in .5mm. It’s also larger than the .8mm Tiger thread- Don’t use this for leatherwork. It would be perfectly fine for other applications, but with the incorrect sizing, it makes hand stitching a bit of a challenge.- Just barely fits in the eye of a John James #2

The black cord is great to work with. I also bought the dark red but haven't used it yet (it's the wrong shade), and purple, but it hasn't arrived yet. I also bought the grey cord and was able to dye it, using hot-water dye* for cotton fabric; the hot water dissolved the wax coating in the process so the cord is no longer stiff. For my purposes this didn't matter, but keep it in mind for your own projects.The cord is braided, so it won't unravel when cut, but it will fray if you're poking it through tiny beads, but I drizzled some white glue on the final inch or so and rolled the cord tightly until the glue dried; this kept it from fraying and also stiffened the ends back up.*the violet and the purple bracelets are grey cord that has been dyed

Bought the red string made a bracelet and took a bath with it and it turned orange the red washed out. here's a piece I just put in a little water for a couple seconds
