Don't Drive Mountains (or Car Camp) Without It!
Got this for a 20-State road trip, crossing and recrossing multiple mountain ranges. LOVED IT! It was great for keeping track of our altitude, attitude, etc. I really wouldn't be without one, driving in high mountains.I don't use it as often, tooling around close to home in relatively flat Michigan, but it's still fun, and I may end up hard-wiring it into one of our vehicles (all hardware comes included.) It displays a lot of useful info. It also shines when you're trying to level the car, for car camping. It even looks cool!

Love it but dont trust it when incline > +/- 30
Added to a UTV. Love the look of this product and ease of use. Only complain is it gets widely inaccurate after 30% negative or positive incline. After 40 degrees incline it's all over the map.

This is a compass and GPS coordinates to me for my logbook
I bought this so I could know my direction and GPS coordinates at a glance for my log book when I saw interesting things as per my spotting Hobby. I became enamored of the inclinometer after a long travel through the mountains. I don't do off-roading so I can't speak much to its use and this endeavor but I like it for when you need to know what direction you're facing and where you are. I mounted this directly above the infotainment Center.

Car tech gift is a winner!
I purchased this as a Christmas gift for my techy brother. It was met with major enthusiasm and happiness. It’s one of those extras that you never knew you needed for your car until you have it. He said it worked excellently out of the box and it’s really nice to have in the car. If you want to keep track of all your things like location, Speed, mileage, longitude, latitude, whatever strikes your traveling fancy. It is a nice device. I recommend it for just that your car, your truck, even just your RV! It was even suggested I might need it for my golf cart. Just a thought; enjoy. I never knew these things existed but they’re very cool. 😎 happy customer happy gift recipient.

Not helpful for me
I buy it mainly for the compass. I am uber driver and need to find direction as quickly as possible. This car compass have a lagging time at the beginning which render it unhelpful in most driving situation. Nowhere near the OEM buildin compass of the car nowaday. The elevation meter is on relative accurate. But I found it very helpful as it help is to notice the elevation change when driving. Overall. I feel that it not worth for me to have it occupied in my car.

Wish I hadn't stuck this to my John Deere
This was easy to install..and is pretty. That is about the only good things I can say about this POS. The clock functions as it should if I add an hour to what is says, no way that I could find to adjust. After much effort to find a level spot using a pair of 4 foot levels (east Tennessee) I was able to set the angles to zero, so I know it is zeroed. To my surprise everyplace else is at a 5 - 10 degree angle, and also to my surprise my tractor starts to come of two wheels at 10 degrees (depending on which place on the property I am at). One 10 is fine the next I have to do evasive maneuvers' to keep it on the ground. Going up hill is no different, really scary when the front end starts lifting with a load in the bucket. Not sure how accurate the compass is either, says I'm alway going N-NE. So it is accurate at least twice in a circle. If it wasn't stuck to the paint (my bad) I'd send it back. Just counting it a $50 donated to some scam artist that Amazon supports (getting to be more than use to be). I could go on, but doubt that this will be posted anyway.

Some Quirks, but Overall Good Value
I got this primarily for the inclinometer for leveling my motorhome at the camp site, but the other features are nice too. I doubt I'll ever go 40° in my motorhome, but if I do, the unit has a nice not so annoying beep letting me know I could be on the verge of tipping. The clock is handy as well (I don't have one on the dash), and the elevation lets me know if I need to adjust my engine timing for altitude (My motorhome is pretty old so I have to worry about things like that). Now for the things I don't like so much. The positioning uses China's Bai Dou constellation instead of GPS or GLONASS. As long as the unit doesn't have a "phone home" feature, this shouldn't be an issue. Chalk it up to my paranoia. I don't trust the government and the Chinese government much less so. Next is the dimming. There are only 2 settings and they are manually adjusted. Even the cheapest tablet has auto dimming these days, so I'm kind of confused as to why this is not a feature. The compass is a nice feature, but I wish it would give a readout in degrees. Lastly, the instructions are very short and not descriptive. Adjusting functions is extremely clunky and not intuitive imo. A few more buttons would have been nice. I'm still trying to figure out how to change from kph to mph.
