Environmentally friendly cardboard toy
Anything what’s Paw Patrol themed is a must have these days for kids. But if I would have to choose as a parent, I would go with this set from Melissa and Doug and I have a few reasons for it. It’s environmentally friendly, it can be recycled, high quality and not to mention that my son loves to play with it. It came in a medium sized box, well presented. It surprised me how heavy it is. I was not expecting this weight from a few cardboards’ element.Well… eventually it is not just a few cardboards, it’s 37 in total. It’s all flattened and needs a bit of a crafting skill to fold them to shape, but this wasn’t a problem for us, actually it was a great fun to do together with my son. Each block and building look different. There’s a shop, a city hall, a viewing tower, police tower, a farm and also several Snow Patrol figures, and their cars also made from cardboard. The quality of the printing is good, with vivid and bright colours and the cardboard is relatively thick enough to last long. If I have to say any negatives of this set is probably, the size. It is very space taking due to the huge size and you can’t just unfold each time your little one finished to play with it as that would take way too much time each time.Other than this little issue with the size, this is still a great set and a great purchase. It would make a great Christmas or birthday gift for any little ones.

Brilliant, but takes time to build, and you'll need a place to store them.
You receive a super looking well presented box, ideal if giving as a gift. These arrive flat packed, you’ll need plenty of patience and time to construct, they're not hard, but very time consuming, you’ll need a good hour plus. When assembled they look great, big building which will put a smile on any face, love them. The main issue with this is how do you store them, they're big, really big, if you’ve a play room then they’d be fine, you’ll need a good wall to put them against.I do like these, these are a great play set, you’ll need patience to build them, and somewhere to store them.

Building Blocks "Obstacle Course" - You WILL Need Space! Here's a Glimpse of Living With this Set:
If you love making up an army of boxes this is for you.The set is suited from age two plus, but that doesn't factor in the requirement of an older sibling or adult to assist in the building of the boxes. Our six old couldn't make up the boxes on her own, it requires patience and a certain amount of meticulous and highly repetitive skill set that only the most ardent box-building fans possess.Since as a family, we lack the sheer dedication that is required to complete this mammoth task in one day, we pursued it over a weekend, a morning off and a few late nights. It's not challenging to construct the boxes, just time consuming and a bit of a factory operation with a production line in place between my partner and I.Once ready, the boxes are huge! This is no understatement. Think, the likes of 41 large and medium sized Amazon boxes piled into your room. There is no way to store them any other way as they're not collapsible- unless you plan to deconstruct them and perform the whole task again when your little one next requested to play with their Paw Patrol stacking blocks. It is a nicely printed set with true-to-form Paw Patrol illustrations.Personally, I would suggest that this is more suited to a establishment with a whole load of space, such as an activity camp, nursery or playgroup - it has a relatively short life as it's made with cardboard, but its relatively good cardboard and will last well depending on the users. Our little one enjoys making a mega Paw Patrol city taking up the entire living space with the set.For the rest of us observers, it is a bit of an obstacle course.4 stars in the right setting. Perhaps 3 stars for home use.

Good fun, if time-consuming to put together
Excellent play set that is more or less plastic free, and that looks fantastic once everything is built (which takes quite a bit of time). Once built they are pretty sturdy, and should give fun for a long time. Four stars.

Very sturdy
Boxes come flat and need put together. After the first one - it was easy to do. Recommend putting together BEFORE the child sees it because they will want to help. This process is NOT child friendly.Very impressed with the quality of the boxes. I may add packing tape to reinforce seams - just for added insurance but “as is” is fine for now.Definitely recommend this product and is a great price. **Save the manufacturers box as a guide for the kids to know what to build. Most important detail is that my grandsons LOVE IT.

41 boxes to assemble!
I prepped for this!It arrived in the afternoon, I snuck it in the back door, put it in the basement as this is an Xmas gift for my 3 year old. After getting the little one to bed I decided to set the mood for the evening by ordering pizza and cracking a bottle of rose. It took awhile to assemble 41 boxes, I kind of got into a rythem as they're all assembled the same way, they're just different sizes and shapes.Once assembled i arranged all the buildings so I would know how they go together and then I grabbed my largest Christmas bag and placed them in building by building. I can't wait for Christmas for little one to open it and be ready to play. There is no way I could've gifted this unassembled because it looks too fun and seems like a really great imagination toy.I like that it's essentially recyclable and for the price I think it will hold up well enough.

The Characters are flimsy, broke after 30 minutes of play, Rubble is not included
There are bad decisions I made as far as gift for my 3 year old daughter. And this is one of them. This is my last Melissa and Doug gift. Ever.

Amazing!!
These blocks are amazing! We have so much fun setting up adventure bay with our kiddo using these blocks. Our kiddo has walked on them, crashed into them, thrown them.. you name it.. and none of them have broken! The quality is exceptional and I thought they were a great deal at the price we got them for. Please note they are not put together and you need to put them together. The instruction manual is insane but I was able to put them together just by looking at the pieces.. it’s not hard but it is quite time consuming! It was totally worth it though for the amount of joy these blocks have brought our family!

Cool Adventure Bay setup for any Paw Patrol lover! As far as setup goes, just keep going!!
The media could not be loaded. It’s actually not that hard to put together with a little common sense. My son went to bed, I sat on our living room floor and separated the pieces how the instructions said (by shape) and really they all go together the exact same way, just are shaped differently. It was my LEAST favorite thing I’ve ever put together in my entire “Boy Mom” life LOL. But It does seem sturdy & durable and hopefully my son enjoys driving his cars and pups around the city. It’s very colorful and if you just get focused once you start then you’ll have all FORTY ONE pieces put together in a little over an hour! If my son loves it, it’s obviously totally worth it! Hopefully he doesn’t just start tearing them apart and actually uses it as creative play!!
