Stretchy yarn
I’m going to have to figure out how to add a picture. This yarn is really nice. I usually crochet amigurumi (animals, plants, coasters) so I’m used to cotton yarn. But I found a pattern for a coffee cup cozy that I liked. I started using Lazy Day yarn by Lion that was suggested for the project. Didn’t like it. So I moved to Merino yarn. That worked great because it had some stretch that enabled it to go over a coffee travel mug. My yarn was Merino 5 by Crystal Palace. It was discontinued so went to substitutions site and found Sirdar Cashmere Merino Silk DK. Great stitch definition and minimal splitting. Also, the colors are very striking and have a nice sheen. The coffee cup I use is called a reusable coffee cup with lid by Celebrate at Michael’s. The pattern is from yarn and chai.com.
