The flip side of being a secure/tight clip in is that they do take effort to snap open, but I found once I'd used a clip a few times it got easier for me to work with, and still had the nice tight hold on my hair.I got these for making my own hair clip ins for the kiddos as a fun activity, and they worked great for us.
