This thing is seriously good good quality. Sturdy. Steel. Easy to assemble. It's big! Bigger than the photos make it seem.

Sturdy
Sturdy tomato plant holder but how long will that last? The material on the bottom may hold up for two years if I’m lucky. It supports the tomato really well. I have lots of tomatoes and so far it is working good.

I bought this to grow heirloom tomatoes. It’s very easy to assemble and very sturdy. Love it!

Perfect patio planter - ingenious design.
It could really use to be on wheels in order to move it around the deck more easily. We bought a set of wheels for it at the hardware store. Other than that, it’s a great buy and we really love it.

Downgrading to 1 star
Edit: I’ve downgraded to 1 star after using it for the season because this thing was such a nuisance to keep from drying out. Even putting a gallon of water twice a day, it would still dry out by the time I got home from work in the evening and the leaves would he wilting. The end result is this dead tomato plant with my tomatoes rotting in there. I planted the same exact tomato plant right below the deck in the ground and it’s done great and looks perfect. Also, the other variety of tomato plant on my deck in a conventional pot looks good too and I didn’t have the same problem with it drying out in the super hot temps we’ve had in the northeast. Definitely not work the money. What I like: easy to put together, sturdy and well made, holds up to high winds, wide enough diameter to hold tomato plant unlike traditional tomato trellis which can be to narrow. The bag is sturdy and held up to my naughty dog digging at the sides trying to get to the dirt. What I don’t like: really needs wheels - castors slide easily on smooth surface but wheels would be easier for non smooth surfaces. While I understand the purpose of the cloth bag, they say it prevents the plant from becoming root bound - I don’t know how it could anyway with the bag holding the obscene amount of soil it does. The soil dries out super fast in hot weather. I have to put 1 gallon of water in twice a day which can be problematic if you’re gone for the day or work long hours. So in that sense it’s become a pain in the rear for me. I also this it’s a bit pricey.

Buyer beware: Rust issues
I was super excited at the beginning of this season for my new tomato planters. They were expensive but I figured they were durable enough to last multiple seasons. As I breakdown the planters at the end of the season I must admit I’m terribly disappointed in the amount of rust I’m seeing. These photos show the rust after only one season of use. For the price point I would have thought it would have been constructed better. I would not have spent this much money on planters that clearly don’t withstand the outdoors well.

Protection from deer
I ordered this Outland Living tomato cage as an experiment for protecting my vegetables from deer as much as for its trellis. Deer are a suburban gardener's worst enemy, as anyone who has had their yard ravaged by these pests will tell you. They've cost me hundreds of dollars in damage, destroying roses, beans, okra, grape vines, apple trees, peer trees, and too many plants to mention. So this year, I started using chicken wire to form a cage around of my plantings. This cage works much better! I can attach chicken wire or bird netting easily to the frame. As for the weight, it's 23 lbs assembled, so it's no joke. The instructions rightly advise to move it to its final location BEFORE filling with dirt. I have a small dolly I can place this pot on to move it around the yard to maximize sun exposure. I might be able to fashion my own wheels onto it from extra casters I have from metal shelving, if I can find the right diameter bolts.Instructions are very detailed, coming in a full letter-sized multipage booklet with some tips and suggestions at the end. Assembly is very straightforward and most of the steps are the same for each tier. All the rings are the same size, except for the top one, which attaches to the strut. I did encounter some minor issues with the paint scraping off as I connected the poles. As for durability, I am not sure how they'll do over time. The spring clips look like they might be the first things to fail (by rusting). The pot is one of the synthetic cloth type growing bags, attached at 4 points to the frame to maintain shape. 20 gal is a lot, so one trick is to fill the pot partially with dried leaves and composted grass clippings to take up some space. This will save you on soil costs as well as provide nutrients for your crops as the plant matter slowly decays. It sits on top of a raised grate so excess water from the grow bag drains out. I am not sure how durable the finish is as far as protection against rust. I will update this review at the end of the season.

J’adore! Facile à assembler. Correspond à la description. J’ai acheté une soucoupe pour garder le tout à l’intérieur.
