Hasn't leaked yet - hopefully that will continue...
I have both this 3 liter and a 2 liter. These newer bladders seem to be more solid than the ones used in their older packs (which leaked so bad, I had to just create my own solution). If this one continues to not leak, then this is definitely the way to go if you're going to be outside for long periods of time. The 3 liter frozen lasts significantly longer than the 2 liter (at least several hours).Connecting this is much easier than the older bladders too. If you find you have a hard time either connecting the connectors or sliding the top off, just run them under some room temperature water for 5 to 20 seconds and they should work fine.Freezing these is pretty easy - just fill to the fill line (or under). Make sure when you close the pack that you have an air pocket. When you lay the bladder flat, turn it slightly so the connectors face up. You may want to slightly prop up the bottom so both connectors are in the air pocket. Once frozen, just add a little water (probably half to one cup or so) and close up the pack. The only reason I'm not giving this a 5 star rating is it would be nice if the connectors were in the middle of the pack instead of offset a bit. This would make it easier to freeze without having to prop it up or rest against something. Alternately (maybe in a future version) the connectors could be placed on one side so the pack could be frozen in a vertical position which would save space in the freezer. At any rate, these bladders have been working well for me and I'd definitely recommend the 3 liter to someone who asked about it.

Order extra Bladder, if I didn't wear out in less time than the ice lasts, I would order 3 or 4.
From no life to half life. Two frozen bladders give me half a day of life in the heat. I wouldn't freeze the first bladder until I received my extra one. So glad I ordered the extra. Sure the extra money is hard, but, I am unable to be outside for more than 5 minutes without cooling in over 80F degree weather. A new low (high) for me this year. Made the move from passive vest to this one. Picture shows two frozen bladders with the air zone marked and the water zone marked after the bags are frozen. Fill to the fill line, double check that you place bag vertical (standing up) on the flat counter and just keep it standing upright to check the level (let the bag squat down to check fill level). If you do this when you place bag horizontal in the freezer, the water line connections will be in the air zone, and then you won't have the problem of not being able to pump water until the connection thaws out. I top off bag with one drinking glass of water, and start pump inside the house, to prechill before going outside. Reccomend highly if you need to stay cool in the heat. Frozen bag last twice as long as ice cubes or small blocks.
