This lamp is so freaking cool. I bought this for my office to study. I am 37 and in a masters program. Trying to take care of my eyes the best I can. I love that you can change the warmth and brightness. I have used it almost every day since my purchase. I have used it for direct lighting or to light up a corner in the room. My partner loves the looks of it and wants one for his space as well. Not going to purchase it for him yet, because I like being the cool one in the house. If you are looking at a product that is similar to this - As I went back and forth between many - Get this one. The price is on point and you get a quality that is comparable to the $40+ products.

New Development: A couple hours after writing this review, and only two days after first receiving the lamp, the lamp has stopped functioning properly. The light dims down to low brightness without touch, and eventually shuts itself off at random intervals. The light then refused to turn back on, and when it did, it flickered between all the mood lights before again shutting off. Returned. I will be ordering another to see if I just had a bad lamp, but for now, be cautious of this models durability.<Original>Out of the box, simply plug and turn (touch) on. The instructions are vague, but it works seamlessly if you have been using technology over the last decade. The 5 mood setting are a nice touch, it will be up to you to determine the best setting for your use. The USB charger is convenient, but it's location on the back of the lamp and not the front is the only gripe I could possibly have with this. It can fold and swivel in a myriad of ways, and could even be easily packed and brought on business trips and such. If you are trying to compare this lamp with the many others that all look the same outside of branding, I can recommend this one to you as a reliable option.

As a student I've always struggled with desk lamps. Either the lighting is too dark, too bright or it is placed in such a way that it irritates my eyes. Lux led gets rid of all those issues. Only problem I have is that the powercord doesn't seem to make good contact with the adapter. It is not rare for the light to go off while moving the base to adjust the lamp. Also, sometimes you really have to jam the cord into the socket in order for it to light up. Perhaps, I got a defective unit but overall it is a good lamp for studying. Will definitely purchase another once this one hits the dirt.

IMO this is the best desk lamp with the best price! I work at my desk all day and have been using many LED and other types of desk lamps in the past. This Lux desk lamp wins over all of my other older desk lamps. This desk lamp is really bright and good for either reading or work on something small, is light and sturdy, has small footprint, can be folded neatly in its original box for traveling, and can be turned and twist in many different directions in 3D space. The body construction is strong and can last a long time. Very useful, simple and versatile.

The upright arm is extremely wobbly. Instructions are very poor. No instructions how to turn on and off. After unplugging and plugging it I finally found some reviews that explained it. (This ,of course, after I had been trying to use the lamp for over a week.) For me it is not worth the price. Unfortunately the 30-day return period has expired so can't return it. Suggest it should be sold at the Dollar Tree store.

The Lux LED lamp, overall, is a deal for the price. Two negatives at the get go. One, the swivel base is somewhat flimsy. Just trying to rotate it gives a sense that it's going to come lose. Secondly and most importantly, the plug in at the base of the lamp doesn't connect securely with the power cord. I had to play with it some to keep the lamp from losing power. Just concerned since it's at the power source. It is not UL listed but does have CE stamped on the box for what it's worth. Otherwise the lamp is very modern looking, the LED's work well both with the sliding dimmer and the different "temperature" levels.

I really like this lamp! Not only is it fully adjustable, it also rotates! The light is bright, but does not glare, and there is a wide range of brightness levels to choose from. It has helped reduce my eye fatigue tremendously, and I am very happy about that! It also illuminates what I'm working on much better than regular lamps, so I can see better. I've only had this lamp for about a week but, so far, it's looking to be the best $21.00 I've ever spent! The only negative thing I have to say about it is that the cord is not long enough to reach the power strip, so I had to put the power strip on a box. If the manufacturer would add about another 1 1/2 to 2' on the power cord, life would be great!

I REALLY like this lamp. After much comparison to the others here, I chose this one because a) the center-pole rotates 45 degrees from side to side, b) the center post can move in a forward direction 90 degrees to get closer to the work area (from upright perpendicular to nearly flat) c) the light itself can be rotated from center position to the left or right by about 110 degrees. Great versatility in finding just the right angle.The light is great and I love the dimmer mechanism. Just swipe your finger along the arc on the base to dim or make bright. I use this at my computer desk and appreciate its flexibilty. My wife wants one for her office.
