Not just recommended - it's necessary! Wow!
Imagine stumbling upon a book that doesnโt just claim to change your life but actually has the credentials to back it up. Thatโs exactly what happened when I read "The Glucose Revolution" by Jessie Inchauspรฉ. Jessica is a French biochemist whose exploration into the world of glucose led to this eye-opening read. Published in 2022, this book delves deep into the effects of glucose on our body, mind, and emotions. Itโs all about the science behind glucose's impact and how we can mitigate its negative effects. Jessie Inchauspรฉ isnโt just another author hopping on the latest trend; sheโs a biochemist dedicated to this cause. Her expertise is clear, and sheโs a knack of making complex scientific concepts about glucose accessible to everyone. The book systematically navigates through personal anecdotes, scientific breakthroughs, and practical advice, making it a comprehensive guide on dealing with glucose in our diets. What struck me the most was how the book balances its scientific depth with practicality. It's loaded with easy-to-implement tips that can significantly reduce glucose consumption and its effects. The author's personal journey adds a layer of authenticity and relatability, making the science not just understandable but also applicable. Critique-wise, I approached the book with a healthy dose of skepticism, as I do with any book proclaiming life-altering advice (actually, the proclamations cake from friends, not the book). However, Inchauspรฉโs thorough research and clear, layman's terms explanations left me without any substantial criticism. Itโs rare to find a book that feels both pioneering in its field and yet so grounded and practical. The impact of "The Glucose Revolution" is broad and significant, offering invaluable insights and tips that I found immediately beneficial. From improving my focus to eliminating the dreaded afternoon slump (itโs actually gone - completely!) - the practical applications of Inchauspรฉโs advice have made a noticeable difference in my daily life. Itโs a book I would confidently recommend to virtually anyone. Whether you're struggling with weight issues, mood swings, sleep problems, or just want to understand the role of glucose in your diet, this book has something for you. Reflecting on my personal journey with this book, it has taught me much more than just the science of glucose. It has practically shown me how to implement changes that have improved my wellbeing. I read it somewhat reluctantly at first, at the behest of my partner, but Iโve come to see its value far beyond its pages. Itโs not just about knowing that too much sugar is bad; itโs about understanding the pervasive influence of glucose and how simple, yet powerful, it is to take control of its impact. As for my final thoughts, "The Glucose Revolution" isn't just another book on my shelf. It stands out as a potentially life-changing read and might just secure its spot in my top five books for 2024. For anyone who eats food, this book isn't just recommended; it's necessary.

Fantastic Book - If you are Diabetic- buy it
This book is fantastic for Diabetics. So easy to read, understand and follow. Your blood sugar levels will drop . Mine lowered dramatically in just 12 weeks, and I eat more now than I ever did, but the right foods in the right order.

Mostly a good book
Interesting book but I had a few comments: 1. Author recommends Protein powder may be added to food but without specific advice about the negatives of this. Of note, whey protein powder may be linked with reduced fertility in males. Our local hospitals fertility teams advise against using whey protein products. Protein powder derived from animals may lead to an increased risk of gout. 2. CRP comments are interesting but this wouldn't be used in clinical practice in the UK for this reason. 3. Hba1c reference ranges are given in old money. The reporting units changed in the UK in 2009. 4. Some of the diabetic thresholds for various data points do not fit with how diabetes can be diagnosed/monitored in the UK. Hba1c would be used to monitor type 2 diabetes. A return to normal fasting glucose would not automatically mean resolution of diabetes, this would be confirmed using hba1c measurements. I was surprised that there was no comment on starch retrogradation. Cooking rice and refrigerating it for 12โ24 hours before consuming significantly reduces glucose spikes by creating "resistant starch". Other than that, I think it's an interesting, well-researched book and I will be interested whether it makes any difference for me.

Great for starting your journey.
This book is great for people starting out on the Glucose Goddess journey as it explains everything about the biological process of how glucose is digested and how it affects your body and why you're not losing weight. It also gives you a few recipes and the 10 simple hacks to get started. There are case studies in there too which you may relate to in some ways and can gain insight to how simple changes can have a massive difference on your health. I think I'm going to buy a recipe book next to start planning my meals properly. This book has given me a good foundation to start from.

A game-changer
I bought this book after recent blood tests showed that I had raised glucose levels that suggested I may be diabetic. While waiting for the results of further tests I decided to educate myself about the condition itself, to research what glucose does to the body, and to see how I could help improve my health. By happy circumstance I came across The Glucose Revolution book. This book is really excellent because it explains complex science in such a simple yet engaging way that I could not turn the pages fast enough and, oh my goodness what an eye-opener it is. I have been following the advice contained within it for over a week now and I already feel the benefit of its approach. I'm amazed at how good my skin feels and that those issues with the IBS I've suffered from for years have disappeared. I have had no snack cravings either. I'm a 69 year old who was beginning to feel a wee bit past their sell-by date. However, thanks to the advice in this book, in this last week I feel better than I have for years. It may well transpire that I do have type 2 diabetes but now I have the knowledge and determination to deal with this accordingly. Thank you so much, Jessie Inchauspรฉ.
