BellroyTokyo Tote Compact – (Laptop Bag, Tote Bag, 12L)

Really enjoying this bag so far. Fits so much for how small it is: lunch box, laptop, toiletries, chargers, notebook, book, pens, keys/phone/wallet all fit in no problem. The straps have an anti slip patch which is so useful as it stops the straps from falling off every ten seconds like with other totes! The internal organisation is really handy and the external pocket is easily reachable to grab your keys/wallet on the move. Have been recommending to everyone!

Sadly it attracts so much hair n lint.i don't understand why they'd use such a material that attracts that at that price too.its not cheap either.dissapionting.

PROS- The inside compartments are really useful. Especially love the water bottle compartment.- The built in laptop sleeve fits my 13 inch laptop perfectly. It won't be able fit a bigger laptop.- The size is perfect for those that found the original too large.- Feels very secure with a zip closure.CONS- I would have liked the bag's width to be one inch wider. The bag doesn't have much give, so once you place a laptop, water bottle, umbrella, wallet and phone inside, you won't be able to fit any larger items if you want to be able to close the bag.- I expected the material of the bag to look functional, but at first glance it doesn't look particularly expensive/ impressive considering the cost.- The key holder in the outside pocket is a bit flimsy.

I really like this bag and it provides things that I absolutely wanted in a tote—top zip, padded space for a 13-inch laptop, and roomy enough for an A5 Hobinichi and a water bottle.Selling points over other totes are that it has very secure, sturdy, nonskid tote handles; nice leather details; a zippered key holder pocket in the front (although the key holder is embarrassingly flimsy); a magnet closure for laptop area; and the 12L is big enough without being too big.I almost didn’t buy the tote because it is missing an inside zippered pocket. Why would you create an expensive tote without an inside wallet pocket? I’m putting a zippered bag in my tote so that I can zip my wallet into something secure, but I would prefer not to have to troubleshoot my tote! I can also see how other people did not like the way the tote picks up lint. I bought the green and it is fine as the lint is there, but it blends in with the color and weave.Overall, I’m extremely glad that I bought this tote but wouldn’t buy another unless they added an inside pocket.

It has multiple organization pockets inside, a sleeve for an up to 13’ laptop, and 2 side water bottle pockets that can be “pushed away” while not in use.If you want to put a water bottle inside them, it can contain a fat water bottle (such as a 32OZ Nalgene) but it has to be a short water bottle, otherwise you won’t be able to zip and close the tote.I take it to work and I’m satisfied!

I love that Bellroy uses recycled materials to create modern, unisex bags. So many bags like this are either very feminine or super utilitarian. Bellroy keeps things functional with a sleek style. I currently use this for work but could definitely use it for other occasions as well! This is the smaller version of this bag but the laptop sleeve holds my 13” work laptop. I love the pop out bottle holders which easily hold a 20oz soda/water bottle but don’t expect it to hold your tall steel bottles, it’s not deep enough. I do wish the interior side pocket was a little wider and/or deeper because it doesn’t fit my work iPhone 12 but the outside pocket is very deep and will hold even larger phones. Others mentioned the key holder to be “cheap” but I disagree. Yes, it’s plastic, but it has a nice design to it that is sleek and functional, just like everything else with this bag. I bought the navy and the color is spot on. I also love the extra grip on the underside of the grey handles! Keeps it on my shoulder without having to constantly adjust! Yes it’s more expensive than similar bags but that’s the cost of using recycled materials and green production to create bags that last forever.

I just got this and I love it. The color is gorgeous, the inside pockets are awesome, and the compact size is perfect. Even though my 13 inch MacBook air fits tight in the laptop sleeve, it still fits.I saw some reviews that mentioned the fabric being odd... The fabric is not exactly a vinyl, but it does have a kind of waterproof like texture to it. I tried to show a picture that offers a close up of the fabric. I don't mind the fabric at all--in fact, I think it looks sturdy and good.
