For 7 years, I suffered from irregular menstrual cycles, heavy flow, and fatigue. Little did I know, my reproductive organs were failing me. I was put on birth control to "regulate" me, but soon gained weight, became depressed, and had extreme exhaustion. At 18 I was sleeping 14 hours a day! I hated the symptoms of birth control. Since I knew Red Raspberry leaf is also a food for the uterus, I knew mine really needed the nourishment. I started taking three capsules a day. In 12 days, I got a period! And there were no cramps. So I continued to take them faithfully. 34 days later, I got another period, that lasted only 7 days! (Not the heavy, horrible 30 days of hemorrhaging I mistook for menstruation) I continued with excitement, as not only were my cycles becoming normal, but my eyes where whiter as the brown ring around my irises faded completely. My acne had almost completely healed itself with no change in my cleansing habits, and I had normal bowel movements now! Wow, this is a powerful herb. I continued to take the herbs at 3 capsules daily, and 5 capsules on the days I was actually menstruating. I've had no side effects. I gave this a five star rating because this works very fast when I have breakthrough menapausal heavy bright red bleeding that comes on suddenly with or without giant clots. I take two of these and for me within an hour or two the bleeding has slowed to a trickle then stops. I don't take these all the time only when needed to affect this heavy bright red bleeding which is definitely not normal. These have done the trick each time probably 4 times. Regular menstral bleeding is not stopped, but the this heavy gushing bleeding is stopped. To give you an idea of the other symptoms that I have been dealing with so that if you are dealing with similiar issues maybe these Raspberry leave capusules will work as well for you as for me. I have chocked up many symptoms to being the early signs of menopause. I am in my 50s. I now believe that I have secondary adrenal and or thyroid issues that have not been diagnosed that people were telling me were just part of aging so I was fairly helpless to stop the symptoms that were to be expected. 5 years ago, my hair began to fall out in clumps in the shower and in the hairbrush. My silky shiny hair turned dry and lifeless. At first I just began washing it less and less until I didn't need to wash it but once a week (down from every day). My general energy level dropped dropped dropped, exercise did not net me muscle improvement. And I was gaining weight. My hairline was receding which I didn't notice until it began to get very thin over my temples in a v shape that was noticeable when I wore my hair pulled back. No longer is there a pile of dropped hairs on the floor when I brush nor a is my hairbrush full of hair that has come out and my hairline that had changed is coming back in strong. (I am very happy) As I am getting healthier, I do still occassionally have the breakthrough bleeding and this raspberry stops the breakthrough bleeding for me quickly. I just take it for a couple of days at most when there is a problem. And I take the raspberry capsules randomly every now and then throughout the month, just a capsule here and there in the morning. (I don't know if you if your are supposed to take this longer than as needed or not, so if someone wants to let me know that, please do comment)
