Getting Naked: The Bare Necessities of Entrepreneurship and Startups

Brilliant and brutally honest story
What makes Getting Naked different from any other start-up book is the vulnerability with which was written. It’s very personal and naked. Primus bares it all but in a manner that makes it a compelling read with personal stories and an occasional joke. He talks about personal sacrifices he had to make to get his brand off the ground, how it affected his health, and his relationships with those around him.

A good learning
This is an amazing journey of author Joel Primus, an entrepreneur and a founder of Naked Underwear. He has openly talked about his ups and downs, personal beliefs, engagements with fellow colleagues, partners and people he met through out his journey. He has also quoted experiences other enterprises too.In his book he guides and gives an insight to young and upcoming entrepreneurs about rules that apply in becoming a successful businessman for instance giving a tag line to your product “why you call it Naked … because it doesn’t stay on!”, giving importance to consistency, complaints, customer reviews, market research, selection, feedback, analyse competitiveness, customer survey and vote. It’s further required to investigate the flaws, establish process and product development, learn from mistakes and establish focus groups. The focal point of any business lies in pre-sampling the product and then focus on its production based on meeting its minimum target. He quotes “Your business is like your baby. You’ve likely spent more of your awake time on your business than anything else in your life.He hopes his experience and tips benefit the new entrepreneurs and face the actual realities of being in an entrepreneurial start up.
