I only have positive things to say about my XOPros!
Unlike other stainless steel tumblers similar to this, both from big brand names, and the generic ones, this one is DISHWASHER SAFE! I find that to be a huge time saver, and one of the main reasons I bought this particular tumbler to begin with. With multiple auto-immune diseases, germs are my enemy. So, since my dishwasher has an antibacterial cycle, everything gets run on that. I feel an item gets a better clean, than if I were to hand wash it. I don't mind hand washing my items, but with arthritis in over 90% of my body, and a very low immune system, I'm often hurting or sick, so cutting corners by using the dishwasher is a blessing. I actually own about 8 of this brand now, so that I have one for each day of the week (people ask what I want as a gift, and each year, a male friend finds me now easy to shop for). I have a few generic handles, and both stainless and plastic straws for use in the tumblers. My more expensive, brand recognized tumblers, as well as others, are all pushed to the far back of the top shelf, well out of reach. It is rare that I go anywhere without one of these in my hand. If I don't have one, people ask what's wrong.Okay, here are the specs:In the winter, my tea tumbler can sometimes retain ice for two days. It will keep it cool, but not chilled, if that makes sense? I usually drink one tumbler of tea a day.My tumbler with water gets refilled up to a dozen or more times a day, especially in the summer. If I leave it in the car on a 85 degree, or higher day, my water is well chilled, with smaller ice cubes, but not icy cold after a few hours.Disclaimer: I've only used it a few times for hot liquids, as ice water with lemon or lime slices is my drink of choice, followed by either sweet tea with lemon, or peach tea. I did make soup, and carry it to my Grandfather's, about half an hour away, a few times, for us to share as a meal, but, I've drunk 30 oz of hot liquids in a day before. In summary, the insulation, and keeping drinks cold feature work like any of the other 100' s of stainless steel tumblers on the market. But, the customer service from XOPro is fantastic when you do have a problem (only once in all the years, and multiple products), I believe their items are US made (versus many made in China or outside the US), generic handles and straws usually fit this tumbler, the tumbler has fit all the car cup holders I've tried it in so far (including those in the backseat, or at the bottom of the door), the price is on the lower end of the spectrum for a national brand, but, my favorite part is that the whole thing is dishwasher safe.

Made of Magic and Unicorn Horns.
Update: I left this, 1/2 full with partially melted ice and Diet Coke without a lid, in my car for 4 hours during an excruciatingly hot and humid Iowa August day, with the car in direct sun. There was still ice in the cup and the Diet Coke was totally drinkable when I got back to the car. These things are ridiculous, and I love them.I get it. It's just a cup. It holds liquids, you drink from it, whatever. But it's not. It's the best cup in the history of cups. It's the Holy Grail of insulated drinkware.I love insulated cups - they keep stuff cold, keep my hand warm, and keep water off my tables. I use plastic insulated cups all the time. There are problems with them, though, namely that after awhile, water gets trapped inside the seal in the dishwasher and they get weird.Enter this tumbler. I bought it as a Lightning Deal, just because most of my remaining plastic ones have bitten the dust. The first day I used it I put ice in it at 8:30 in the morning and filled it with Diet Coke, as usual. I refilled the Diet Coke all day... but NEVER ADDED MORE ICE! The ice was still there! Slightly melted, sure, but still there, even by the time I went to bed! And here's the real kicker: when I got up the next morning there was STILL ice in the cup! I didn't even use the lid and the thing kept ice for 24 hours. That's crazy town.I haven't tried it with hot liquids because cold is my jam. However, I can assure you that this thing will keep your drinks cold for a really long time.

All around good product, read on...
After having use this cup now for about nine months I wanted to upgrade my review from three stars to four. First and foremost this is not plastic so I don’t have to worry about what’s going to leech onto my water or drinks, it is best to use for keeping drinks cold and and so saying it kept my drink cold with three ice cubes from 9 AM until 6 PM. It can be a little awkward opening and closing the lid but it can be done one-handed and is excellent to keep around the house when you have little children who like to knock things over, or possibly pets!

I really love my thermal cup but I think iit should have ...
I really love my thermal cup but I think iit should have a screw on lid, it would be better with a screw on lid. I have to say that in my 62yr.' s of life I have never had or known of a cup to hold the cold in like this one, cold stays inside not out. I get no condensation on outside, and I put ice in it and still had ice in it 26hr.'s later, and yes I tell everyone about it, also I let them know where I got it. Think about putting a screw on lid to improve on it, in case it gets knocked over lid won't come off

Great cup for hot or cold
Great as a coffee cup or to keep cold drinks cold. People who say it's too hot for coffee aren't real coffee drinkers :-). I work outside of my office a lot. I fill this cup up in the morning and the coffee stays hot in my car for hours! But because it's double-walled, the outside isn't hot to the touch. Great buy. Nice and heavy with a solid lid that stays in place. The hole in the lid is also a good size for sipping your drink without it dribbling out all over the lid.

LOVE this - Good Price in Comparison to That Pricey NAME Brand One
This has served me well in the heat of a South Carolina summer. If half filled with liquid and half ice, it stayed cold for a 6-7 hour work day in my car with the broken air conditioning. It is easy to clean and the lid does not have many nooks and crannies to get germie. I have also put coffee in here. It fits in the console cup holder in the Kia. It holds a lot of liquid.

Can't imagine any thermos working better, I bought two
Can't imagine any thermos working better, I bought two. Doesn't sweat and keeps ice for a couple of days. When I tested it, not a drop of water for half a day (the cubes did freeze into one big lump) then about a tablespoon by the end of the day. I did have to adjust my ice to liquid ratio.

Keeps it cold. Awesome customer support!
Awesome customer support! Emailed them a question and got a response right away (within 30 minutes). The cup and lid can go in the top of the dishwasher.Only had for a short time but it keeps ice water cold. Haven't got to try it with hot coffee yet.
