Devo Energy Dome Red

Essential to a DEVO costume! These are sturdy, shiny, and well-made. To create a good fit, we lined the largest ring with foam pipe insulation tubes from Lowe's. . We cut a few inches of the harder, pool-noodle type foam for each side of our heads, and then lined the front and back with softer, squishier tubes. (You can see the glue gun marks from our first, failed attempts. We recommend using duct tape instead!)

3 different scenarios happened when I wore this: "WHIP IT GOOD!" "why are you wearing a flower pot on your head?" "What are you?" Only the cool people were impressed. Don't even try to make one of these, its just not worth it looking unauthentic. My only issue like many others was getting it to stay on my head. I couldn't find a hard hat insert to save my life. I found some sort of foam and cut out a section to create an indent but it still slid around. I finally got fed up....saw a roll of duct tape....put a bunch on the inside, slapped it onto my head and stayed it did. It's been 2 weeks and its still there. I'm afraid if I try to take it off its going to pull all of my hair off. I look SO cool in the office though!

Buyer beware: it's just the red plastic energy dome. You'll have to fashion your own way of keeping it on your head. But that aside, this is thick and high-quality! 👌

Great for Halloween or 80's costume party, needs something to secure to head, if not it will fall off.

This is a molded piece of plastic that does nothing but look cool on your head while you're shopping or driving your car, etc. Any time or place in which you want to irritate other people and bring back the nostalgia of the 80's this is your item. It does not come with an insulator or strap, etc.; you have to provide those things.

Yes it checks the box for a Devo hat. That being said, its thin plastic with no liner in it to fit your head so you will have to improvise to try to keep it from sliding around while you are dancing the night away as Devo. However with few hats on the market, they are all overpriced. This one is very overpriced for its quality

Yes, an officially sanctioned Devo product from the manufacturer that made the originals for the most famous band from Akron/Kent, Ohio. I actually don't intend to wear my Energy Dome all that much, but it's an excellent conversation piece and something that's perfect for the new wave music fan who (otherwise) has everything. Now, let's see if Amazon carries any skinny ties...

Awesome quality and heavy plastic. Kind of expensive but there aren't too many other uses for a devo hat. The big issue with the hat is there is no way for it to stay on your head. Like making sneakers without shoelaces or shoelace holes. Workaround: I grabbed a gopro headband I had hanging around my house and installed it using double sided tape. This absolutely does the trick and makes the hat comfortable. The gopro mount sticks out so might cut it off.

Sturdier than I thought it would be. However, I was expecting it to have some sort of harness or at least some foam inside so that when you put it on your head it will stay there and not wobble and slip off all the time.

There should be foam attached inside so it stays in place and is comfortable.
