Pastured Pigs on a Small Scale

Not much detailed information here pertaining to pastured pigs. I expected something with more detail.

This book could have rated higher, except that it is written for an _Australian_ market. It is not for the generic, or American markets. AS such, I found it lacking in details that would have been helpful. If you are in the Australian market, it would be very helpful, because it talks about what you *need* to know. Raising pastured pigs, from what _I_ a person trying to learn, can see, is very weather dependent. They need adequate shelter, forage (and/or supplemental feed).If I were an Australian farmer, wanting to _start_ raising pastured pigs, this would probably rate much higher. I found too much basic info either assumed, or missing completely to be comfortable. If you are an American farmer wanting to start raising pastured pigs on a small scale, it might be worth considering, but I would not buy it. There are too many better books that are available to give background info.

An "OK" book. Author definitely knows his stuff but seems to have trouble articulating it on paper...sentences & grammar can be awkward. Reads more like a self-published amateur book than something polished. Feeling a bit ripped off, a price 50% less than what I paid would have been more appropriate.
