Great sound, small package, easy install.
Honestly I was pretty blown away by the strength of this guy. I have an extended cab Tacoma so I don’t have a whole lot of cabin to fill up, I just recently upgraded my door speakers and tweeters but was missing a lot of low end, and space is a premium. That being said, I didn’t need to rattle the windows off, nor did I need it to play loud enough to have parties in parking lots. For my application it checked all those boxes. It was dead simple to wire in, there are five wires. Power and ground, left and right speakers, and the subwoofer to head unit remote. For power, I got a set of nilight fuse taps, wired that directly to the yellow power wire. I tapped into an unused switched-on fuse. I checked with an automotive probe light to see which ones were always hot, and which were switched, I didn’t want the sub to be an extra drain on the battery (although this speaker seems to be pretty low drain). I preferred this to wiring directly to the battery, that’s always a hike to route it from the battery through the firewall. This was much easier and much quicker. Or lazier, but hey, took me about an hour start to finishFor the speakers, I got two RCA male to bare wire, two ten foot lengths. I vampire tapped them to the positive and negative wires for the rear right and rear left speakers. For the ground, I wrapped the black wire around the self tapping screw I used to mount the Pioneer TS to the floor under the passenger seat. And for the blue subwoofer remote wire, I didn’t have the wire on my head unit any more because I didn’t see a subwoofer in my future, so I just vampire tapped it into the yellow wire right behind the sub. Then I hid all those wires. When I fired it up I had the volume on 1 and it was too much bass. I immediately dialed back the frequency and gain. Frequency is about 1/2 and gain is about 1/3, that gives me a nice rounded sound until about 60% of max volume, then for the remaining 40% it’s pretty thumpy, but the windows don’t rattle and it doesn’t feel cheap. Great purchase, worth every penny, easy install, fits right under my seats, only takes up half the space under my seat actually, and it sounds great.

Like it was made for an Elise.
If you try to do stuff for sound for an Elise you know that you basically have 4 things you have to work around. 1: No space for amplifiers. 2: No space to run wires. 3: Very little room for speaker upgrades (that means you require modifications to go larger than the 4" fronts and 5.25" rear) So most people eat up all of the package shelf for amplifiers and subwoofers (because the speakers are small they have little bass response). The package shelf on these cars is a flexible piece of plastic that I'm sure makes a bunch of rattly noise itself when you have bass tones come out of it and then you have to run wires through the center area where the shifter cables and another thick wiring harness is. It is possible but not ideal. This subwoofer fits perfectly on top of the passenger footrest. On the Elise there is an fusebox (usually unused) already setup for the driving lights on the bottom of the dashboard that you can tap into for power. The sub being downfiring means you don't have to worry about people damaging it when their feet are on the footrest. I attached it with velcro to the bulkhead and the footrest and the bass response is excellent and felt throughout the entire chassis. I'm sure it won't be suitable for a Suburban or something, but for this car it works fantastic.

Good compact powered subwoofer.
The subwoofer is compact but for my purposes has surprisingly good bass. I keep it powered to a middle setting and it is loud enough for me. The unit was small enough to fit under the driver’s seat of my car and the supplied cables were able to reach the head unit. Installing the powered subwoofer was easy but required me to remove the seat and cut two small holes in the carpet to mount the mounting bracket with the threaded posts to hold the subwoofer down. The main power wire is thin but I believe adequate for the power needs of the amp without issues. There is no hum or ground loop that I can hear. Also I do not hear any rattling of the subwoofer due to the way it was mounted. I would imagine a 10” subwoofer would be far louder but that was not what I was looking for. I am pleased with this purchase and I have had zero issues with it since it was installed several months ago.

Small speaker, big sound!
Installed a new stereo system in my 2015 2-door Jeep Wrangler. Added a wireless Apple play JVC head unit, 100 watt Pioneer amp, 6 Kicker speakers in factory positions. The sound was so crisp and clear but did not have the bass punch. The majority of under seat subs were too large to fit under the front seat because of the cross bar and limited space and did not want to add a large subwoofer in the back. I did some research and found the Pioneer TS-WX010A subwoofer and thought it was worth the try. Took it to the stereo shop, they installed under seat without a problem, tuned it and I am blown away by the sound. It’s not overpowering, I still have the highs and mids from the Kicker speakers but now I have the lows that make the sound incredible. I would definitely recommend this for any car, jeep, suv, truck that had very limited space but needs that subwoofer kick. I actually purchased two of these thinking one wouldn’t cut it, but after I heard it, no need for the second one. The guy at the stereo shop was very impressed!

Simple Install! (Depending on your car!) Sounds Fantastic.
Installed today. Installation notes / Other things to buy: 1. You will need an RCA cable splitter 2 into 1 likely 2. You will need a fuse tap 3. You will need to be aware of what fuse is accessory power, what cable on your head unit is power on, and where to ground Installed in my beater buick century. I had previously installed a new head unit and updated speakers. No separate amplifier, as I picked speakers that were within power handling ranges that made sense with the HU (JVC KW-56 BT, baseline 5 1/2 infinity front, and... JBL 6x9s). Wanted a little more oomph, did not want a ton. Did not want to deal with running power to battery or pay someone to do it. This subwoofer has a low power draw of under 5 amps, and the instructions (and confirmed by crutchfield) note to fuse tap. I had no idea anything out there was made for this. It's small compared to the underseat options, but i took a chance. Honestly i'm pretty well blown away by how much it adds to the sound. It's very much a sound quality addition to your car. I mounted under the dash, inbetween the passenger and driver footwells. With the crossover set to approx. 90hz, and the gain set to approximately 2'oclock, its fantastic. Classic 90s hip hop, thrash metal, metalcore, EDM... it all sounds really, really good. I've had full systems with multiple amps before and pretty discerning ear for car audio. I can't speak for how good this would sound mounted under your seat. But pretty confident that if you put this in a car with the same goal I had, to get more sound quality on the bass and hear the lower ranges, And mount it in the passenger footwell or similar area...you're going to be very happy with this. Yes, 200 dollars is a lot of money for something this small. but the sound quality will absolutely surprise you.

Jeep Gladiator Perfect Fit
I'm running a JL Audio Fix 86 with sub outs that go to this subwoofer behind the rear seat. I'm shocked at how clean and the clarity of the subwoofer is. It's strong enough to vibrate the mirror, but it's clearly not going to shake the car. The size was perfect to fit behind the seats in my jeep gladiator and the sound is so clear and sharp that others are impressed when they hear it and learn it's coming from the incredibly small subwoofer. I've got the sub set at max gain and full frequency, but the Fix86 is set at 80hz and uses a remote to control the gain. All other speakers in the Jeep are infinity Kappa's which provide incredible clarity as well and I have those set at 80hz on the crossover.

prime impressioni Pioneer TS-WX010A

Great Little Sub for the Price
For the price and size, this little amp puts out a surprising amount of "thump". Fit well in my Ford Bronco under the seat and didn't interfere with the rear air duct or the floor mat.
