I have no words
But I will find some to review this product. My dog... my sweet, sweet boy... is a disaster on a leash. He's not mean - he's excited. He's 50lbs of all the strength and speed that a shepherd mix can bring and he can go for miles. I have tried every gimmick leash and product on the market: bungee leash, spike collar (I regret this decision), gentle leader (he hated it and scraped up his face on the sidewalk trying to get it off), the harness (both front and back connection) and just plain not walking him because it was no fun. Avoiding walks was particularly no fun for my shepherd boy because he has a lot of energy to expend and I live on a postage stamp. I tried refusing to walk until he stopped pulling and he just thought that was the most fun game ever. The harness with the front connector worked pretty well - I won't lie about that. But I got this leash one day after trying that and I have to say... holy balls. I don't love keeping it high on his neck and almost feel bad (not spiked collar bad), but the kid can't pull anymore - nor does he seem to want to. I've only walked him twice with it, so I guess time will tell if he adjusts, but for now... I'm amazed. Six years with this guy and all it took was a regular leash with a loop. Talk about overthinking a problem for too long.

Best lead for walking my Dane!
Best lead ever!!!!I adopted a Great Dane last year from a family that had no time for her. When I got her I could tell she never went on regular walks (it took her months to learn how to potty on a walk!) and she was dog aggressive and had no leash manners!I'm a 5'2 little woman and tried every damn thing to walk her. She was too sensitive to use a prong, the head halti SUCKED and I felt it was not for a dog that's dog aggressive on walks, I even tried this no pull harness contraption that just enabled her to pull even more!So I ordered this since it can be placed high on the neck/behind the ears and finally I have better control without feeling like I'm battling a bucking bronco! We have successfully passed by the fence barking dogs in the neighborhood without me looking like an idiot or my Dane getting out of control and lunging! That is a major accomplishment in our book! The lead is really soft and nice on the hands. I wish the lead came in at least 8ft or more though!

Wears out quickly and stops working!
This is a good leash to prevent pulling but the problem is that it wears out real quick (2-4 weeks) and becomes ineffective. So what do i mean by this ...ill try and explain. The part where you adjust the tightness of the leash is the problem. In the beginning when you tighten the leash the leash will stay that way throughout the whole walk until you decide to loosen it up or take it off. However with time that part becomes loose so that when you tighten the leash it loosens up on its own throughout the walk allowing your dog to pull. The only way the dog will not be able to pull is if the leash is tight and as soon as the leash gets loose your dog will start pulling.I purchased two of these and both of them started having the same issue about 2-4 weeks later. So if you decide to buy this expect it to work for about a month....i am guessing many of the positive reviews were left right after they purcashed it and never bothered to come back and update their review. If you are wondering i have long hair German shepherd.

my dog LOVES this leash (and so do I)
I had been alternately using a gentle leader and a comfort harness for my 53-lb lab mix who tends to pull at times. She HATED getting either device on and it was miserable to get ready to go for a walk. I tried changing to a choke chain but the metal chain slipped down the fur on her neck and got tangled in her collar - just too annoying. But THIS!!!! OMG I LOVE this leash and so does Hanna!!! SOOOO simple to put on and I've NEVER had it come off accidentally! Hanna actually comes up to me and presents her face to get her new leash on for walks!! I can't say enough about this slip lead!!! It's comfortable in the hand as well. And because of the fabric it doesn't slide down her fur and get tangled in her regular collar either. It stays put and does its job. When she pulls all I need is a quick correction and she calms down. And it comes in so MANY fun colors! Kind of pricey, but I'm a big fan regardless. Can't wait to get another!

Great leash-update
I wasn’t super impressed. I bought it as it was American made. The rope seems cheap, like it’ll fray really easy. The exterior part of the rope is loose, moves back and forth. It’s fine for now as my mastiff is a puppy but I don’t think it’ll last. I have another slip leash that is way better and unfortunately wasn’t mad in America. So update. So my mastiff isn’t fully grown but he’s 120 pounds. The leash stretched out about 6 inches which has allowed the material to tighten up. I’ve had it almost a year which is longer than I expected it to last. Seems to be in good shape and has held up. So I would recommend

Love these leashes! Recommend this seller
I have been using these type of leads for larger breed dogs. This is the first I purchased for a smaller dog.Using the longer, larger width leash on dogs like Huskies and Labs, is good. Dogs are stronger, and you have more dog to wrap making your leash stretch farther. This specific leash I just purchased is being used on a Welsh and mini Schnauzer- not as strong, smaller dog, much less body to wrap. The leash isn't flimsy, just not as stiff; the material is a little softer, good for our little ones; and the thickness is just a little less than bigger ones so it fits the small dog bodies nicely. The 5' is a perfect length, gives you some walking room but not too far. (Save the 6' for big dogs. They need the extra length to wrap their bodies.)*I didn't go to the very small width. After using these with the kennel and personal dogs, "my personal opinion", I would suggest that for your smaller dogs like Yorkies, etc.

Good Quality Product
Bought for my mum’s elderly Chihuahua. Lead was very well made, light but strong. There is a little leather fastening loop that you just push towards the dogs neck to tighten and pull it back to loosen off. Unfortunately, Chihuahuas are known as a breed going for world domination. My mum couldn't get near him to put this on - he was having none of it. Had to return it but would recommend if your dog is mentally stable, go ahead and buy it. A very good product.

Best slip lead I’ve found!
I have had several different slip leads for my 8mnth Springer pup and found them all to be rather abrasive on her neck (&nose when using as a fig8 for pulling) but this one is fabulous! It’s well made, soft to the touch and doesn’t have that nasty abrasive quality that the previous ones I tried did! Very good value for money! Liked it so much I’ve got it in 2 sizes - one shorter one for road walking and a longer one for park trips! 5star product!

Stops dog pulling
Our German shepherd pup was pulling terribly to point of being unwalkable. This lead has honestly made a huge difference. It’s because the thickness of the lead means I can really have a good hold of him. Also it’s not too long so I don’t get all tangled up holding excess lead. If you have a puller try this lead. I have the clip one as well but slip is better as my dog manages to get his head out of a normal collar.

Excellent lead a must for all doggy homes
Although i have the red one of this its a excellent lead nice to handle and very good for all dogs this thickness is ideal for middle to large dogs i have six rescues German Shepard , Collies and a German Pointer and it is fine for them after only a few times The Shepard of Eleven years old and no basic training now walks nicely (never too old to train) and the same for one of the collies I can now walk Six dogs out together and still have my arms left in their sockets when i get home

More control over a reactive dog. No slack. Stiff cinch.
+ Gives more control. Good for walks where you know there's a high probability of encountering other dogs.+ You don't need to hold slack in your other hand.+ The leather cinch seems to be good quality. I've only had it a short while but it's plenty stiff and better quality than the rubber one I had previously.
