Edited: love the bearings and the shaft but the chainrings are garbage. Teeth are not symmetrical and some will grab the chain (brand new chain) the rivets to grab the chain are to far out and grab the chain under load causing the pedals to jump and massive wear to the chain. I have ordered new Shimano chainrings costing me more than this entire part.Original review here:Swapped out the original crankset and Bottom Bracket on a Schwinn mountain bike. This kit uses real pressed in sealed bearings. The bearings are also bigger and further apart than the original. You can put so much more force on the pedals now.There are no instructions but plenty of videos online for the swap.Only thing you have to do is measure the distance from the frame to the gears so you can shim the BB in to match, then adjust the derailer.You need a Hollowtech 2 wrench for the BB.The tightening tool for the bearing preload will flex to tell you when it is torqued correctly. Neat design.

Broke after 20 hours of use. Left pedal splines are too small and shallow causing both my feet to be at the bottom of stroke when the pedal crank arm slipped the splines after a moderate bump but no airtime. I'm 200lbs. Installed on ccm 29er hard tail with electric rear hub. I am upgrading to a 53 tooth single front with deeper splines. Do not recommend for heavier riders, will work great for 140 lb riders. Retighten again and again, check again and again, ride for 10 minutes and tighten again.

I used this to replace an old power spline sram bottom bracket and it worked flawlessly. Don't follow reviews that say this doesn't seem sturdy because it is! I have +2000km on mine after install and it's still fantastic.

I replaced my square tapered bottom bracket to this. It fit perfectly and i took off the two smaller rings since I run single speed. So far everything is good and I'ved biked a bit with this crank on, was really stiff which is good. Great quality and I recommend it, especially for the price.
