Enjoyable
I enjoyed the one other Harper Lin book that I read earlier this year, so I wanted to see if it was a fluke and what her other books were like.I was in the mood for a crime novel as well as a Christmas book, so this fit the bill perfectly. It is a very light-hearted read, and most of the events occurring aren’t to be taken very seriously. Emma, a famous singer, retreats to her hometown for Christmas after a bad break-up. She emerges herself in everything that is comfort food, including a lovely hot chocolate from her sister’s cafe. However, a murder occurs right in front of her eyes, was she the intended victim or was she just in the wrong place at the wrong time?Emma is slightly annoying as she starts to get involved in the investigation, even to the point when she could have tampered with the main suspect. Getting them to admit their guilt would surely be admissible in court? Anyway, like I say it is a laid-back story that can’t be taken to heart. It is a short novel, at only 130 pages, which I knew going into it. What I didn’t realise is that it would end on a cliffhanger and I’d have to read the rest of the series to get the whole story. This is slightly annoying, I don’t mind reading sets, but I like to be warned if I am going to have to give more time than I realised. For this reason, it is only getting three stars other than the four it would have received for being somewhat enjoyable.

Killer Christmas
I do love a cosy mystery, so paired with Christmas I thought this would be my kind of read!Emma Wild, a world famous singer, begrudgingly returns to her quaint home town for the Christmas season after breaking up with her actor boyfriend, Nick, back in New York.On a visit to her sister's coffee shop she runs into a superfan, their poisoned drinks get mixed up and causes a death, and it's soon discovered that she was actually the target. Enter the local detective, and also Emma's high school sweetheart, Sterling.I liked the premise of the story, but Emma's character was a little annoying in the way she interfered with the investigation to find the killer via a few suspects. It moved quite quickly so was a fairly short read, but it meant there wasn't a whole lot of filler to the story. I did have a few chuckles as Harper has quite a relaxed style of writing.I will definitely look out for the next book in the series, and more stories from the author.

A Nice Enough Book
A good story of murder and romance. It's a pity it is quite a short story and leaves things up in the air, if you want to find out what happens next you will need to buy the next book in the series. I find this a bit irritating myself, I would prefer a longer book.

Melt Christmas. Holiday series book 1
A nice short story with a twist in the tail. Emma turns sleuth to find a killer. Love is re kindled and Christmas is enjoyed by all.

Killer Christmas
Short and sweet murder mystery (can a murder mystery be short and sweet? Yes.). It's a complete story in that the killer is caught but ultimately it's a build-up to a series so it leaves you dangling at the end.

Great read
Okay so I enjoyed reading these book but something was missing to me, I don't know what but something was as it took me awhile to really get into the story. Going to try the next book before I decide weather I'm going to stop with these series.
