Excellent Product & A Great Experience!
I got this for my Mum for her birthday, she's always complaining that everything on TV is crap so now at least she has a wider range of films and TV shows to scan through and ON DEMAND! It'll take a bit for her to get used to it but she's enjoying it so far, she doesn't have a smart TV so she's never used any of the apps like Prime Video, Netflix, All4, iPlayer etc so it's a whole new world 😄 she has used YouTube from Facebook on her phone but nothing like full series and good films whenever she wants to watch them which is great, personally I couldn't live without streaming apps as I haven't watched regular TV in years. I've not had any experience with the Firestick as I use my PC and PS5 for all of my apps but even then, it was very simple to setup. I didn't run into any problems with the software or the hardware, everything worked really smoothly and the main router is right next to the living room TV so it has the fastest signal in the house 👌🏻 The setup was very straightforward, plugged the stick into the HDMI port, plugged in the mains cable(TV's USB port doesn't have sufficient power for the Firestick but not a big deal!), selected the HDMI source and it immediately popped up 'FireTV'. The Firestick setup was very simple with only a couple of initial settings, we quickly linked her Amazon account with the onscreen code and she had a 30 day free trial of Prime available which was a time/money saver. After she had a snoop around at some of the films and shows on Prime, we set up her iPlayer which has all BBC channels and shows ready to go! The remote is great, she really likes the Alexa voice commands too which saves time on having to look through extensive lists, the four app buttons at the bottom make it very snappy to jump from one app to another without much effort. The remote is easy to use(for me) but I don't think it'll take long for my Mum to get the hang of it, it has a directional circle for navigation, center button to select, return button for previous screen, independent volume buttons, mute, pause, rewind, fast forward, home and options button. This is a great option for expanding your TV experience if you don't have a Smart TV, it has lots of apps, has the Alexa function, it's easy to use and setup while also being portable, so you can take your stick to someone else's house and watch from your account using their WiFi 👌🏻 My mum loves it, she's really happy with it and has gotten used to now over the last few weeks but sometimes she still needs a hand. It's a fair price and very good product!

Simple and Easy to Use
I purchased this, at offer price, as a simple add-on for an old Technika 24" Full HD TV (2015) which I wanted to use in my bedroom. I don't have an aerial connection so using the built-in Freeview wasn't an option. I found this really easy to use, and had it set up within about 10 minutes. Simple connection to the back of the TV and easy setup to my wi-fi. Downloaded a couple of the iplayer, ITV Hub etc type streaming apps as well as Netflix, and that was it. Far easier to setup than I expected...Bonus! I chose this Firestick as it was the 2021 release, as well as having the additional Alexa voice remote and preset button, and was only a couple of £ dearer. Having used the remote I have to say that the Alexa is more novelty than useful. You need to depress and hold the small blue button at the top of the remote to activate the Alexa, so given you have the remote in your hand it makes the Alexa superfluous as you might as well press the buttons on the remote. Alexa integration, having used it, wouldn't be a buying point for me in the future should I need to replace this Firestick unless they made it voice activated/hands free. This model has the preset buttons feature which I do find very useful, no navigating around the screen, just press the preset and you are there and ready to go. I also noticed that it is far faster to navigate Amazon Prime Video and Netflix using this little gadget than I am able to do on my main smart TV in the lounge (or at least since they updated the layout on the Prime Video page), although still a little slow to react at times. So stream quality is very reasonable. Picture Quality is excellent, however I believe that a lot of this would have to do with the picture quality variability of the TV being, used in conjunction with the Firestick. If your TV hasn't got great picture quality then don't expect the Firestick to correct that hardware problem. All in all, this is an inexpensive way to have a working TV, provided you have wi-fi, without going to the expense of having an aerial cable installed. I would recommend it to others.

Highly recommended & easy to install
The Amazon Firestick has turned out to be a good solution to our problem, which was that although we pay the annual BBC license fee, the BBC is no longer broadcasting sporting events we want to watch, such as rugby, and some of the programmes we do want to watch are broadcast after we have gone to bed. The BBC has also recently discontinued supporting the software for BBC iPlayer for our Sony tv, which was particularly annoying as it is only 9 years old. iPlayer can be accessed through the Firestick and this helped us make the decision to buy it. We are not tech geeks, but having researched the attributes of the Firestick, we decided to give it a go. It arrived swiftly and the box containing the Firestick also contained all the cables we needed to set it up. It even included the batteries for the remote control. As soon as the Firestick was delivered I received an email giving advice and instructions, along with some helpful trouble shooting web links. It’s simple to install, you only need to have your own WiFi password to hand. The set up system allows you to add in various apps - we chose iPlayer and that was easy to set up too. We have never felt the need to have Alexa, but much to my surprise the Firestick remote control has a button you can press and, using voice control, ask your TV set to play, for example, Christmas music, or relaxing music, whatever you want in fact! I would recommend the Firestick to anyone who wants to expand their tv viewing by having a wider range of programmes. As for watching the autumn series of rugby, which was our main reason for getting the Firestick, the rugby broadcasts are excellent, the commentaries on the matches we have watched so far were all by well known commentators, and the camera work is good too. Highly recommended, and easy to install.

The Amazon Fire TV Stick is one of the easiest and most affordable ways to turn any TV into a smart entertainment hub. Setup is super simple—just plug it into your TV’s HDMI port, connect to Wi-Fi, and you’re ready to stream. With the Alexa Voice Remote, navigating apps, adjusting volume, or finding your favorite show is effortless. Just press the voice button and say what you want to watch—no more endless scrolling. It also controls TV power and volume, which is a nice touch for reducing remote clutter. The performance is smooth, with fast loading times across popular apps like Netflix, Prime Video, Disney+, and YouTube. Picture and sound quality are excellent, and it supports a wide range of streaming services and subscriptions. If you're looking for an affordable, user-friendly streaming device with powerful voice control, the Fire TV Stick is a fantastic choice. Ideal for both casual users and tech-savvy households. Highly recommended—especially if you're already in the Amazon ecosystem.

Affordable: The Fire TV Stick is an affordable way to add smart TV capabilities to your TV without having to replace it. 3. Content: The Fire TV Stick offers access to a wide range of content, including streaming services like Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime Video, and live TV channels. All you need is a TV with an HDMI port and internet connectivity to get started. 5. High-quality video and audio: The Fire TV Stick provides high-quality video and audio output, including support for 4K and HDR video streaming, HDR10+, Dolby Atmos, and Dolby Vision. Cons: 1. Firestick Running slow: The Firestick tends to run slow over time. This can be due to the device's limited storage capacity, which can lead to a buildup of cached data over time that slows down performance. 2. Remote: The remote that comes with the Fire TV Stick can run out of batteries quickly and may require frequent battery replacement. 3. Ads: There are ads that display on the home screen of the Fire TV Stick, and you cannot remove them. 4. Limited storage: The Fire TV Stick has only 8 GB of storage, which can limit the number of apps or content you can store on the device. 5. Internet connectivity: The Fire TV Stick requires a strong and stable internet connection to function well. Overall, the Fire TV Stick with Alexa Voice Remote is an excellent device that offers many advantages, including accessibility, affordable price, and a vast library of content. However, it is essential to keep in mind that it does have some limitations, such as limited storage capacity, the tendency for the device to slow down over time, and the need for a stable internet connection. Nonetheless, if you are looking for an affordable way to access your favorite apps and streaming services, the Fire TV Stick with Alexa Voice Remote is an excellent option to consider.

Brilliant! Saved the cost of a new tv.
We had been having problems watching live tv or tv through our Humax box for weeks. We had no idea what the issue was so didn’t know how to sort it without getting the aerial checked and perhaps even a new tv. Then we decided to get Disney plus. Our LG tv is too old to install the app through LG so we were facing either watching it on an iPad or the expense of a new tv. I had heard of the Amazon Fire stick but wasn’t sure how it worked but thought it was worth £25 to see if we could get Disney plus with it. I read some reviews which did indicate it should work. We can! And we can watch so much more we don’t need the aerial or the Humax box now, unless we want to record from the tv. It simply plugged in to a USB slot on the tv, and it had a lead to plug it in to a socket. The Fire stick walked us through setting it up, and connecting it to the Wi-Fi, then it was just a case of downloading the apps we wanted from Amazon and logging in to Prime, Netflix etc. We can watch live tv as well as catch up on iPlayer etc, plus Disney +, Netflix and prime. There is so much more available we have yet to watch! The picture is very clear and there is no lag. Brilliant! No new tv needed! No need to use the aerial. Has saved us a small fortune.

The best value for money in my opinion!
I bought the Amazon Fire TV Stick with Alexa Voice Remote to upgrade my old TV and access various streaming services. I was pleasantly surprised by how easy it was to set up and use. The device plugs into an HDMI port and connects to the internet via Wi-Fi. The remote has a microphone button that lets me use voice commands to search for content, control playback, and launch apps. I can also use it to control the volume and power of my TV. The Fire TV Stick supports 1080p resolution and HDR formats, which means I can enjoy high-quality video and vibrant colors. It also supports Dolby Atmos sound, which adds more depth and realism to the audio. The device has a fast processor that makes it responsive and smooth. It has access to a huge library of apps, including Netflix, Prime Video, Disney+, YouTube, and more. I can also watch live TV and sports with apps like BBC iPlayer, ITV Hub, and BT Sport. You can also add third-party apps (such as Kodi) if you unlock developer permissions... The Fire TV Stick with Alexa Voice Remote is a great device for anyone who wants to turn their TV into a smart TV. It is affordable, easy to use, and offers a lot of features and content. It is not as advanced as the Fire TV Stick 4K, which supports 4K resolution and more HDR formats, but it is still a very good option for 1080p TVs. I definitely recommend it!
